As I stroke each one firmly, I observe him carefully, gauging his reaction to my touch. I never thought of his horns as an erogenous zone and feel bad for holding them like handlebars earlier. I hope I didn't hurt him.

"Are they sensitive?"

"Not normally. It must be the way you're stroking them."

Despite barely having time to slow down, my heart speeds up, but this time, it's nerves. I want to please him, and this is my chance. I may lack experience, but I have endless enthusiasm.

I drop to my knees, my face eye level with his crotch, and he grunts. "What are you doing?"

I'm desperate to give back some of the bliss he gave me. Actions speak louder than words and all that jazz. "I want to make you feel good too."

He tips my chin up. "Come here, beautiful." Draven picks me up as if I don't weigh anything and, propping his back against a tree trunk, sets me down in his lap. "Let me hold you. We have time to play and explore more later."

Holding him close, I wrap my arms around him, sighing contentedly. Then he dips his head and lays his cheek against my chest, skin to skin. Draven's breath is ragged as he clings to me and nuzzles in, his face damp from a combination of sweat and my juices.

I'm glad I waited for the right man. I wouldn't have wanted to share this precious experience with anyone else on the planet but him. He revealed himself from the dark shadows only a week ago, and look how far we've already come together.

Draven is as inexperienced as I am, but as far as passion is concerned, he's a 10 out of 10. No one can teach you how to respond to that kind of thing. The knowledge comes from a place way down deep inside. He pushes me out of my comfort zone, yet nothing feels difficult. It all feels so easy and natural when I'm with him.

I shiver, thinking I can hear something moving in the woods behind us. An owl hoots in the distance.

"Are you cold, Beauty? Do you want to go inside?" Draven asks when he feels me tremble.

"I'm not cold." I shake my head no, tendrils of hair tickle his nose, and his entire body convulses with a loud, "Achoo!"

I cup his chin, laughing at what a gentleman he is. "I'm happy here, and you know, I was thinking I could learn to love the great outdoors."

His smile is so broad, his cheeks dimple. "We can't hide in the woods forever."

"Why not? I fancy myself dancing under the stars like a wood nymph or fairy." He laughs a low throaty chuckle, and it's the kind of sound I want to hear every day. "Or are you too much of a gentleman? You don't want to get too dirty, huh? Is that it?"

"Dirty? I can do that."

"Glad you agree." I add a wink to the smile I give him for effect, assuming he'll appreciate the joke. I figure I may as well ham it up. "We can live under the stars and—"

"Sleep on damp earth with unmentionable things slithering over your precious skin at night and sticks poking into your back?" I can't see his expression, but laughter is clear in his voice.

"Depends on the stick," I sass.

He growls and nips my neck playfully, making me giggle with delight. I am giddy with joy and never want the wonder of this moment to end. Or the night to end, or my time with him. I never want to leave, but despite my protesting, he helps me to my feet.

"Come on, let's get you dressed and home."

Home. I love the sound of that. I grab our shirts, and we slip them on. He helps me shimmy into my pants before we begin walking home. But I'm not in a hurry because returning to the house means separating. Or at least going to our individual rooms. I get that Gretchen supports us getting together, but sharing a bed on our first night together? Um… I'm not sure how she'd feel about that.

"Dahlia–"

"Draven–" We say each other's name at the exact same time. "Jinx!" Laughing at the coincidence, I poke his chest playfully.

He chuckles. "You first, Beauty." He cups my face and kisses my cheek. "What did you want to say?"

How do I describe the ways being with him has changed me in such a short time? How do I tell him that I never want to leave? He wanted to say something too, and seeing as he's already let me come first, snort, it's only fair he speaks his mind.

He, he, he, look at me, loosening up. Draven's good for me. He's helping me loosen up and become my own woman. Fearless and fun. "You go first. What did you want to say?"
