“Please. Now. Need it.” I was shamelessly begging, but it earned me the faster pace I craved. I rocked against him, hard and urgently, every millimeter of skin from my thighs to my balls to the tip of my cock, alive and vibrating with energy. My abs contracted, ass tensing too, as I tried hard not to come before him. “Come with me. Please.”

“Get us close. Fuck against my cock like you used the bed last night,” he ordered, and lord, his dirty mouth was gonna be the death of me. “Use me, baby.”

“God. Can’t. Wait. Please.” My orgasm was right there, leaving me one silk thread away from falling into it, but I made a last valiant effort to wait for his permission.

“Yeah, you go ahead now.” His gaze bore into mine, an almost scary level of intensity. “Come for me. All over my fucking belly.”

And I did, that last thread of control snapping. I shot all over Harley’s belly and chest. Impressively, a small amount even reached his beard. He moaned like he was the one coming. As I rode out the orgasm, I tried to take him with me, sliding my now-hypersensitive cock against his, still hard and slippery, and smearing the streak on his chest over his nipples.

“Fuck. That.” His eyes closed, face tensing, body going rigid. I tweaked a slick nipple, and he bucked upward. “Here…coming. Ambrose.”

I loved when he called me boss. And boy and baby and all his other sexy endearments. But I loved the rare moments when he used my given name most of all, and a powerful aftershock swept through me as he came, my body twitching and shuddering along with him.

Finally, I collapsed against him, gasping and laughing like I’d accidentally inhaled nitrous, everything seeming bright and funny and wonderful. “Oh my God, I got your beard.”

I tried to blot the come away with my thumb, but I only made it worse.

“So you did.” Chuckling, he kissed the back of my hand.

“I’m not gonna apologize for you needing a shower.” I nuzzled his shoulder. “That was the best orgasm I’ve ever had.”

“Fuck yeah, it was. Me too.” His groan sure sounded satisfied, but I still raised my head, trying to see how genuine he was.

“Really?”

“Told you. Jerking off is kind of my thing. Getting to jerk both our cocks while you beg and work my nips? Fuck. I don’t think anything’s ever felt so good.”

“Totally.” I gave a happy sigh. “We should shower before we fall asleep all sticky.”

“We’ll get there.” He yawned, lack of concern both sexy and reassuring. The level of comfort I felt with him was unlike anything I’d known before. Terrifying and amazing, all at once. I’d asked for sex as a distraction from my other worries, but the new worry of how in the hell I’d ever get over him loomed large. I held him closer, like that might keep him with me a little longer.

Chapter Twenty-Three

Ambrose

Mornings after a big event were always tedious for me. Using all that adrenaline the night before meant my forty-one-year-old body was still in recovery mode from the mind-blowing sex and the wedding festivities.

But Cressida had decreed that the wedding weekend would end with Sunday breakfast, and she’d never forgive me if I didn’t at least make an appearance. But I was still cranky.

“Hercules is in a good mood.” Picking the dog up, Harley brushed the sand off his paws as we reached the top of the beach trail. We’d had one last walk on the beach, a finality that left my chest heavy and tight.

“That makes one of us,” I grumbled. Hercules let us sleep in, so I really didn’t have much cause for complaint other than the fact that the weekend was almost over, and I didn’t know what to do with the jumbled mess of my feelings.

“I can drive first if a mimosa will brighten you up.” Harley paused in front of the resort’s big double doors.

“Champagne will make me want to go back to bed.” My voice started out whiny, but the thought of Harley, me, and a bed had my tone warming. “Actually, we could skip the champagne and go straight to the bed…”

“Not a terrible idea.” Chuckling, Harley shifted the dog to one arm and put the other around me. “But we don’t want to miss the checkout time, and you promised your sister.”

“I know.” We entered the building, but my feet slowed as I approached the designated room for breakfast. “I’ll try to get more awake and upbeat. No one needs a grumpy uncle.”

That got Harley laughing harder. “Yup. Not gonna argue there.”

“Give me something to look forward to?” I wheedled, looking hopefully at his mouth.

“Gladly.” Taking the hint, he leaned forward to give me a kiss that started sweet and went right to sweltering.
