But it shouldn’t. He might end up disappointed.

Especially when reality kicked in. For her and for him.

Reality was a motherfucking cunt.

While he was still buried deep inside Tessa, he wouldn’t be for long. They would have to move and he would need to remove the wrap, that was a reality he couldn’t escape.

He sighed and held on a little bit tighter for a few seconds. Giving himself a chance to breathe, a moment to wrap his head around what should happen next.

An opportunity to appreciate the woman who clung to him for the first time ever.

This was how it could be if she wanted it.

If he was ready for it.

Was he?

He didn’t fucking know. This thing with Tessa had come out of left field. It was so fucking unexpected that it had plowed him over like an NFL linebacker.

He had told Tessa he was willing to approach Trip, but, fuck, was he really? Maybe he had felt safe suggesting it since he figured she’d say no.

If it had been her pushing it instead, would he have been the one to balk at doing it?

No doubt, if he approached the prez, his life would change. The same as it did after the first night she opened his door and slipped into his room.

Her breath softly hissed out of her and her fingers stilled. She leaned back, putting some space between them. “I need to go.”

Did he hear regret in her voice? Or was he only imagining it?

He wanted to tell her to stay, but again, reality could really eat ass sometimes. Like right now, because the reality was they couldn’t sit here forever.

When she planted her hands on his shoulders, he reached down and anchored the wrap so it wouldn’t slip off and spill inside her. Even though all the sweet butts were on birth control, he still tried to be as careful as possible.

Especially after Cage got an Amish chick pregnant and had Dyna even though he used a wrap. When they all learned that, it had made a few of his brothers’ assholes pucker. Including Easy’s.

Thank fuck they were doubly protected with whatever birth control she was using. Because not only was he fucking the prez’s sister behind his back, but if he knocked her up by accident…?

Yeah.

Forget a date with The Punisher, he might find his colors flayed off his back instead.

Or he might find himself in one of the furnaces at the pet crematorium and incinerated alive. That was the shit of nightmares. Especially when he worked at Tioga Pet Services and operated those furnaces on a regular basis.

Every time he hit the button and heard the whoosh of it igniting…

Fuuuuuck.

As Tessa began to gather her clothes, he forced himself to stop watching her and got up to take the short trip to his shitter where he got rid of the full wrap and cleaned off his cock. Even though he hurried, when he came back out she was already dressed.

Surprisingly, she hadn’t left while he’d been occupied, when she could’ve. For some reason, tonight she lingered.

He didn’t give a fuck that he was still naked, he stepped toe to toe with her anyway, grabbing her chin and tipping it up, while dropping his head to hold her eyes. “Told you I’m headin’ out next weekend to pick up my new sled. When I get back, want you to go for a ride with me.”

“I can’t.”

“You can. We’ll do it in the middle of the night. We’ll meet off the farm.” He’d wanted her to be his backpack for a while now. No better excuse to push it than getting his new ride.

“It’s not smart.”

“None of this is fuckin’ smart, Tessa. You knew that the first time you opened my door. Right now I ain’t askin’ you for much, but this is one thing I’m demandin’. Again, do it or don’t. Just know, your choice will also decide mine.”

“Easy…”

He tightened his grip on her chin. “This ain’t a negotiation, woman. As of tonight, the rules have changed.”

“I’m not ready for you to approach Trip.”

He wasn’t sure he was, either. “Did I just say anythin’ about approachin’ the prez? I know shit will quickly change if,” when, “I do. Like you, I’m not in a rush for people to be in the middle of our fuckin’ business.” Because zero doubt existed that would happen and he wanted to be completely fucking sure about the two of them beforehand. He didn’t want either of them to be pressured into making choices they weren’t ready to make.

And Trip was fucking controlling. Easy might be easy-going for the most part but if Tessa’s brother decided to make decisions that weren’t his to make, Easy would have an issue with it.

“So, you won’t say anything to Trip?”

He realized after he’d suggested that last night, it had been a mistake to say it. He actually felt a sense of relief she hadn’t jumped on that suggestion. It had been a knee-jerk reaction. “Not ’til we’re both ready. If we get to that point. That good with you?”
