“It’s about time you told me, Little girl. I started falling in love with you the day we met.”
He cradled the back of her head and drew her lips to his to bestow a searing kiss that took her breath away. “You’re never getting away, Angel. I love you, too. You’re mine.”
Her heart felt like it grew inside her chest, unable to contain her excitement and happiness. “Yours, Daddy.”
His thrusts increased in speed as he claimed her completely. Their pleasure blended together until their voices merged in one final shout of bliss that filled the room. Slumped against his chest, completely overwhelmed by the emotions that swirled around her, Nora wrapped her arms around his neck and clung to his hard body.
Home. This is what it feels like.
Chapter Sixteen
“What’s this money, Angel?” Mateo asked as he tidied the nursery the next morning. “Does this need to go in your deposits?”
“That’s your money, silly. You left it in the electrical box,” she reminded him as she played with BeakBeak. “I didn’t find it immediately.”
“This was tucked into the box?” he asked, rewording her statement.
“Yes. It’s the money for the chart and stickers but I didn’t want you to pay so I brought it home,” Nora said.
“I didn’t leave this money for you to find, Nora,” Mateo said slowly.
“If you didn’t put it there, who did?” she asked, skeptical. Why would he lie about that?
“I don’t know. This makes me nervous, Little girl,” Mateo told her.
“Bad guys don’t leave money. They take it. Maybe one of my employees stashed it there for some reason,” she said, struggling to come up with some reason for the cash. “You’re really sure it isn’t yours?”
“I promise, Little girl. I wanted to pay for the stickers and the chart, but when you insisted, I bought you a shiny set of plugs for your bottom.”
“You didn’t!” she said, staring at his back as he pulled something out of a drawer in the changing table. In a few quick movements, he spread open a black plastic container on top. Turning, he scanned the room and spotted his target.
“I’ll just go wash this one and put it in the case,” he commented, picking up the discarded one and heading out of the room.
There’s a whole case? Nora watched as he disappeared. Scrambling to her feet, she darted to the changing table to see what was inside. A dozen anal plugs lined the plastic case, ranging from the smallest one that was missing to one that would never fit inside her.
“That would be a super naughty plug,” Mateo commented as he returned to fit the one she would have sworn was two inches thick back into place. It was not that large.
Unaware of her actions, she shifted one hand behind her to cover her bottom. Mateo patted her guarding fingers, and she glanced up quickly to see a knowing expression on his face.
“You have a very sensitive bottom, Angel. I will enjoy training it.”
“Daddy, no!”
“Don’t tell Daddy no.” He tapped the largest plug he’d declared the naughty one before closing the set and stowing it away.
“You won’t. Will you?” she whispered.
“Come here, Nora,” Mateo said, wrapping his arms around her. “I hope you know that I will never hurt you. I’m teasing. It will be a very long time before you could wear that large plug, and even then, your body may never accept that.”
Feeling better, she smiled at him. “Oh. Okay.”
With a smile, he took her hand to lead her from the nursery. “I’m afraid it’s time for you to get dressed for work. Let’s go look in Daddy’s closet.”
“In your closet? Why?” she said, following him into the main bedroom.
“Just wait.”
Flipping on the light in the closet, he revealed that half his closet was now filled with her Craftastic shirts and pants hanging opposite his clothing. “I think it’s time that your big girl clothes get their own space.”
“You gave me half your closet?” she said in wonder.
“I want you to stay here, Nora. Will you consider moving in with me permanently?” he asked. “I love you, Little girl.”
She rushed forward to wrap her arms around his waist. “I love you, too, Daddy. Can I take some time to think? There’s so much going on now. My new store. All the changes. I think my head will explode if I take on one more thing.”
“Of course, there’s no rush, Angel. I will warn you that I’m going to try my best to convince you that there’s no time like the present. But I want you to be sure. In the meantime, your clothes will be in their new home and I hope you, Violet, and BeakBeak will snuggle with me every night.”
“I’d like that, Daddy. So would BeakBeak and Violet,” she rushed to assure him. Leaning forward conspiratorially, she said, “I think the two of them are getting along great. At first Violet was concerned BeakBeak might cut off her crayon tip with his sharp beak, but she’s not as scared anymore.”
