“What a nice brother. It’s scary putting yourself out there, but it could be good for her,” Nora suggested.

“Exactly. Now, Guille has sent us a treat. El Presidente. This is a cocktail made of rum, curacao, vermouth, and grenadine. Sip carefully. It is potent,” Mateo warned as he lifted his glass.

He clinked it softly with Nora’s rim. “Salud! To your health.”

“Salud,” she repeated and took a sip.

“Oo, that’s good and dangerous.” Nora set her glass down carefully. She didn’t want to drink that too fast.

“Tell me about yourself, Nora. Did you always want to own a craft store?”

“Oh, I’m pretty boring. I love doing all sorts of arts and crafts. I knew from a young age that I wanted to work for myself and decided Craftastic was the best name ever for a store. I studied so I could be successful as I worked in different stores to gain experience. I graduated last May with a master’s in business.”

“I am impressed. You made a goal and did everything to achieve it.”

“Thank you. I can be a bit stubborn,” she admitted.

The sound of wheels made them both turn. Guille pushed in a cart with a variety of supplies. “I thought—why make this in the back? Tonight is a night for tableside guacamole!”

There was no way not to be carried away by his enthusiasm. Nora watched the master at work as he crafted a mound of guacamole for them. Setting it between them with a dish of hot chips, Guille watched as they tried their first bite.

“It’s so fresh, Guille. I can really taste all the ingredients separately as well as together,” Nora told him.

“As it should be. Enjoy!”

The chef made his way back to the kitchen, leaving them alone.

“At this point, I may just move in,” Nora said, leaning forward to grab another chip.

“Consider yourself welcome,” Mateo said gallantly.

She watched him as she chewed and decided to risk it. “What is a Little girl to you? A submissive?”

“A Little girl can be a variety of things. Sweet and quiet. Loud and boisterous. Well-mannered or bratty. At the heart, a Little girl is the bravest type of person I’ve ever met. She’s willing to trust completely, allowing her inner fantasies and needs to come to life.”

“That is scary,” she whispered. “I’ve never even talked to someone about the books I found.”

“Then it’s time, isn’t it? Fate put us together. We are very lucky.”

“What are you looking for in a Little girl?”

“I need to take care of my Little completely. When you’re ready, I’ll take you to my home and show you my nursery.”

“Whose nursery is it?” she asked, surprised to be jealous.

“My hope is it will be yours. I have dated other Littles in the past casually. A few I’ve spent time with at Blaze years ago before we opened the restaurant,” he shared.

“What’s Blaze?”

“It is an adult club that caters to a variety of people who enjoy a kinky lifestyle,” he replied.

“Here in town?”

“Yes. I am still a member. Would you like to go meet and play with other Littles?” he asked.

“Would you go with me?” she asked, knowing she’d never go by herself.

“Of course. It is open on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.”

“Oh, I work on those days,” Nora said, dejected. She helped herself to an extra-large portion of guacamole in consolation.

“The club is open late. You can definitely close Craftastic and go afterward.”

“Oh! Then will you take me on Saturday? Then I’d have a shorter day on Sunday.”

“It’s a date,” Mateo said with a smile.

Nora smiled at him. “This is going to sound weird but I’m surprised how comfortable I feel with you.”

“That’s what it’s supposed to feel like when you meet your Daddy,” he suggested. “Shall we set up some rules we’ll follow? That’s important before diving in.”

“Rules?” she echoed.

“I will ask you to always be honest with me. Even if it’s embarrassing.”

“I’m a super bad liar. Does that mean you have to be honest with me, too?”

“Yes. I will always tell you the truth.”

“What else? Do we only date each other?”

“Absolutely. I will not share you with anyone. I stopped dating two years ago to concentrate on finding my Little.”

“I don’t date very much,” Nora admitted. “Men are put off by my height. And I’m picky.”

“As you should be. I think you are lovely just as you are.”

“Oh, you don’t have to tell me that. I know I’m no raving beauty,” she said, waving off his compliment.

Mateo caught her hand and held it in his. “I do not lie, remember. You are lovely. From your long legs to your thick brown hair to your gorgeous brown eyes, I find you very desirable.”

He lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed the center of her palm. “My pretty Little girl.”

She shivered at the compliment and couldn’t tear her eyes from his. His dark eyes shone with desire and heat. Mateo wasn’t pretending. He was totally into her.
