“Close,” he warned, which only seemed to embolden Jacob, getting him to suck harder, like he was getting graded on his ability to get Linc off in the next thirty seconds. Then he made a noise, a little hitch to his breathing, like he was close himself, and knowing he was that turned on from blowing Linc pushed him over into the hardest climax of his life, great waves of release that he didn’t surf as much as get towed under until he was shuddering and breathing hard. He got his eyes open right in time to see Jacob come, erupting all over his fist even as he kept right on sucking Linc through the aftershocks.

“Damn. You have gills I haven’t seen?” Linc’s words were as rubbery as his knees, and when Jacob finally released him, he sank down next to him on the floor. He’d managed the joke, but he lacked words for how...awe-inspiring that had been. Humbling even, from Jacob’s obvious enjoyment and generous nature.

“Nah. Just an oral fixation I can’t shake.” Jacob bumped shoulders with him, shifting around so he could rest his head against Linc’s neck while he licked at his swollen lips. And despite the world-shaking orgasm moments ago, Linc’s pulse pounded like his body wouldn’t mind a second go right that damn moment.

“Fuck.” Shaking his head, Linc braced for a wave of regret and guilt that never came. He’d done it. He’d broken his word, and he should be wrestling with what that meant as a man. But maybe all those brain cells were still offline because instead, all he felt was a burning need to kiss Jacob senseless until he wasn’t the only one thinking second helpings. “Fuck it all. That didn’t work.”

“It didn’t?” Jacob yawned. “Pretty sure your taste in my mouth says it worked plenty.”

“You know what I mean, fucker.” Linc hauled him closer into an awkward embrace. “You said that would cure us, but it didn’t cure me of a damn thing.”

Shrugging, Jacob gave him a wry grin. “I never said it would be instantaneous.”

Woof. Woof. Apparently done being ignored, the dogs pranced over, inserting themselves between them.

“Ew. No.” Jacob scrambled to his feet before Bandit could lick his hand. “Can I clean up in the bathroom before you kick me and the failed experiment to the curb?”

“I’m not kicking you out.” Groaning, Linc hauled himself up.

“You’re not?” Jacob’s surprise made shame lick at Linc’s cheeks, heating his skin. Was he really that much a bastard?

Yeah, you are. He’d been as much surprised as Jacob by his words. But the longer Jacob stayed, the longer those recriminations could stay at bay. A reckoning was coming, but he wasn’t ready. Not yet. Not when he had a chance at a little more of Jacob first, not when there was so much he’d waited years to do.

“Nah. Maybe you’re right. Not a miracle cure. Gonna need a repeat application.” He offered what he hoped was a smile. His humor was so rusty with disuse that he no longer trusted his ability to joke, especially when Jacob didn’t laugh, but instead gaped at him.

“You want a round two? Now?”

“Not right this damn minute. Not all of us are twenty-five. But I figure I might as well feed you, see what trouble we can find after.”

Jacob studied him for such a long moment Linc worried he’d grown a third eye. “Okay,” he said at last. “Okay.”

“You sure? You don’t sound very enthusiastic for the guy who tried to sell me on this whole get-it-out-of-our-systems plan.”

“Oh, I’m still down with that plan.” Jacob offered him a smile that still seemed a little strained around the edges. “I’m for damn sure not turning down a repeat. And hey, you never know, maybe another few rounds, and my idea will still work.”

“Here’s hoping.” Linc was pretty sure it wouldn’t, but hell if he could send Jacob away. Seconds. Fifths. No number of repeats was going to be enough for him. But he had him here and he wasn’t going to waste the opportunity. Tomorrow could be all about regrets and guilt. Tonight was for storing up every second he could.

Chapter Eight

As Jacob cleaned up in the small hall bathroom, he studied himself in the mirror. Skin still flushed. Lips kiss swollen. Breath newly minty thanks to some mouthwash he’d found by the sink. He didn’t look like his world had shifted on its axis, but it totally had. Kissing Linc, blowing him, hadn’t felt new and exciting like he’d expected. No rush of an illicit encounter, frantic to get it while it was good. No, instead, it had felt like coming home, like a long-awaited reunion of bodies and souls.

Sure, he loved oral, always had, but there was nothing routine about doing it with Linc. Every moment had felt charged, and he’d had a hard time reminding himself that this was a one-off, as his brain kept suggesting things about next time. Next time he wanted a bed. Next time he wanted to play with Linc’s balls. Next time he’d take Linc up on the offer to reciprocate. Next time, next time. Except there wasn’t going to be a next time, no matter how much this felt like a homecoming. All they had was this one night, and seeing as how it had been his idea, he needed to make the most of it.
