They then proceeded to perform every act I’d mentioned when I talked about the show I used to attend as a kid. For the musical number, they danced and lip-synced to RuPaul’s version of “I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus,” which they played on Hudson’s phone.

Next up was some juggling. Noah grabbed three oranges out of the box and did an impressive job with them while Hudson stood back and did his best Vanna White, gesturing at Noah with a flourish. For the comedy skit, they did an amazing job acting out the classic Abbott and Costello routine, “Who’s on first?” That was followed by Hudson doing a magic act that involved dramatically making cards appear and disappear, while Noah took over the job as Vanna.

When they finished, they both took a bow while I clapped and cheered. “That was amazing,” I gushed. “Thank you! When did you have the time to pull that together?”

“Last night, after you fell asleep,” Noah said. They both looked really pleased with themselves. “There’s one more thing, though. As you know, the variety show always has to end a certain way, so we’ll be right back.”

They both ran to the bedroom, and a minute later, “Here Comes Santa Claus” began to play. When they appeared in the doorway, I started laughing. They’d both stripped down to red briefs, and Noah was giving Hudson a piggy back ride. As the perfect finishing touches, Hudson was wearing Noah’s long, red Santa hat, while Noah had put on my reindeer antlers.

I smiled at them and said, “I did tell you Santa rode in on something every year. Riding in on reindeer Noah was pretty inspired.”

“We had to work with what was available,” Hudson explained, as he jumped off Noah, shut off the music, and set aside his phone. “Just wait until next year, when we have time to pull together props and costumes.”

“It was perfect,” I said, as I got up and gave them both a hug. “Thank you so much for doing this.”

“Don’t forget, Santa always brings a present,” Noah reminded me, as his grin turned sly. “Want to move to the bedroom, so he can give it to both of us?” They started laughing when I sprinted into the bedroom and dove onto the mattress.

Later that night, after hours of sex and cuddling and more sex, the three of us snuggled naked under the covers. I was just starting to doze off, when Hudson gestured at the glass door leading to the deck and murmured, “Oh wow, look at that.”

It had started to snow, and I whispered, “Best Christmas ever.”

Our week at the cabin was pure bliss. Nothing mattered besides just being together and enjoying ourselves. But the days flew by, and before we knew it, we were on our way back to San Francisco.

Each of us had a few errands to do, so we made plans to meet up in two hours. Then Hudson and Kel dropped me off at my studio, so I could pick up Sadie and pack a few things.

When I knocked on his door, Timothy flung it open and exclaimed, “You’re back! Tell me everything. Was it amazing, and are you part of a throuple now?”

“Yes, and yes.” I crouched down and scratched Sadie’s ears while she wagged not just her tail, but her whole lower half.

My friend squealed with delight before saying, “I knew it! Come in and tell me everything.”

“Actually, can you come to my place? I need to do a few things before I meet up with my boyfriends.”

“Yeah, I think I can manage to cross the hall.”

I got up and handed him a bag. “I’m returning your black shirt, and there are also a bunch of freshly baked cookies in there, as a thank you for watching Sadie.”

He stuck the bag just inside the door to his apartment and said, “Thanks for the cookies. How did the shirt work out?”

“It didn’t fit at all. I got stuck when I tried it on, and they had to rescue me. But that led to some very good things, so it was actually perfect.”

I unlocked my door, and he and Sadie followed me inside as he said, “In that case, you’re welcome. Where’s your luggage?”

“Hudson’s bringing it to his apartment, since he has a washer and dryer and I don’t.” I decided against mentioning the leaking lube, because I didn’t want him to feel bad about trashing my wardrobe. As we took a seat on the couch and the dog jumped up and settled in between us, I added, “We’re actually moving in together, so I’m going to pack a few things and take them over. My lease isn’t up until February, so that’ll give me plenty of time to figure out what to do with my furniture. Would you like any of it?”
