Roberto opened the back flap and pulled Kevin’s briefs under his buttocks.

Wrong.

So wrong.

Kevin sobbed, disgusted by the touch and wishing he had never agreed to the arrangement with Sandro. He was not an object to be passed around.

Roberto let go of him so suddenly for a moment Kevin stayed still, shocked by a loud thud against the wooden floor. He acted on instinct and backed away, but tripped over his wobbly legs only to be faced with an unexpected sight.

Sandro, in simple jeans and a T-shirt was a wild beast on top of Roberto, pushing his face against the floor. Kevin couldn’t help the satisfaction pooling in his belly at the sight of his almost-rapist being grabbed by the hair the way Kevin had just been.

“What have I fucking told you, huh?” Sandro roared, and slammed Roberto’s face against the floor. “Don’t fucking touch him, don’t show yourself, and leave through the back!”

Kevin yelped when Roberto’s face clashed with the wood again. This time he heard a loud crack and blood spilled from—Kevin didn’t even know if it was from Roberto’s nose or mouth, but it didn’t really matter as long as that bastard suffered for what he’d done.

He’d never seen such violence in real life, and he crawled over to the two men on hands and knees despite the trembling in his limbs. The last thing he wanted was Sandro getting in trouble because of a fight over him.

Roberto wasn’t small, and he struggled in the firm hold, but Sandro was a bull with one lance already in his flesh, and he pulled Roberto’s arm back with full force.

“Understood, motherfucker?” Sandro yelled in a way so unfamiliar Kevin felt as if he was watching a different person, not the laid back, sexy man he was falling for hard. This Sandro was a beast with bared teeth and wrath burning in dark eyes.

Sandro slammed Roberto’s forehead into the floor again.

“Stop! You’ll kill him,” Kevin whined and dared to stroke Sandro’s forearm.

Sandro huffed, his face a red scowl, but Roberto finally spoke, turning his face so Kevin could see blood on his swollen lips.

“Under-stood,” he muttered.

Sandro took a long breath and got off Roberto, but still kicked him in the stomach for good measure.

Kevin only now had enough brainpower to think about pulling up his underwear, and he backed away, sniffing when reality of what just almost-happened slapped him hard.

“You okay, baby?” Sandro asked, but he wouldn’t face Kevin, watching Roberto’s every move instead.

Kevin could barely breathe from the shock and only realized Sandro couldn’t see his nod after a few seconds. “Y-yes.”

Blood dripped all over the front of Roberto’s white shirt. He looked terrifying with eyes burning with barely held-back fury, but Kevin couldn’t help a little niggle of satisfaction. This man had tried to trick him, abuse him, and whoever he was to Sandro, they weren’t friends.

Roberto barked something in Italian but walked off when Sandro growled like a wolf about to pounce. Everything about the two men unnerved Kevin and had him backing away toward the fireplace despite the fight being over. No man had ever treated him the way Roberto had—as if Kevin was a delicious slice of steak that had no say in being devoured as long as it was paid for.

And to make matters more confusing, Roberto didn’t go for the front door, but retreated toward the place where he’d entered. Even now, he had access to a place Kevin didn’t.

None of the fairy lights or the sparkly tinsel could lift his spirits now. Something was awfully wrong with this picture and all Kevin could do was stand there in the silly outfit and watch events unfold.

When Sandro followed Roberto back to the white door, Kevin didn’t dare accompany them and instead replayed the whole scene in his head. The force with which Sandro smashed Roberto’s face into the floor. The ease with which Kevin got talked into handing over the poker. The helplessness when Roberto had pulled his briefs down.

He was still only attempting to calm down when the door to the forbidden room slammed down the corridor, and footsteps approached the living room again. The most terrifying vision overcame Kevin. That somewhere in that room, the two men continued their fight, and that Roberto had won and was now coming back to finish what he started.

Kevin scooted behind a large leather armchair, desperate to flee from the kind of violation Roberto could unleash on him. Who was that guy? What kind of fucked up person did what Roberto had tried to do? But what somehow freaked out him more was the ease with which Sandro engaged in such a brutal fight. He’d seemed so cool, so unaffected.

“Kevin?”

As soon as Kevin heard Sandro’s voice, he shot to his feet and ran over to hug Daddy despite all the bitterness that had earlier brewed in him because of Sandro not arriving when he’d promised.
