When Miguel and his Cartel bastards were gone, he was going to fix this.

“Your mom’s not allowed here,” Grant said. “I’ve got to go and take care of something. I need you both to watch her.”

“Of course,” Isabella said, reaching out to touch Michael’s chest.

Grant watched him take a deep breath, his nostrils flaring. “Are we going to have a problem? I don’t care about her. The only woman I care about, the only woman I want, is laying in that hospital bed. There’s no competition here. There never was.”

“Michael, babe, please, we talked.”

He nodded. “We’ll take care of her.”

Grant turned to look at Aria. He was going to be back before she woke up. That was his fucking determination. Bull waited for him, but Grant couldn’t just leave. He stepped into the hospital room, walked up to her bed, and placed his hands beside her head.

“I’ve got to go and take care of something and while I’m gone, you’re going to rest. You’re going to sleep, and whatever you need, you got me. You’re going to take all the time you need and when I get back, you can wake up. You can come back to me and then we’ll sort this out. You and me.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Fuck, Aria, please come back to me.”

He had no choice but to pull himself away from his woman and leave the room, giving Isabella and Michael a chance to enter.

Leaving her was torture. It was the last thing he wanted to do, but he had business to attend to.

“Cut his dick off!” William yelled from the corner.

Grant watched as his brother looked at Miguel. The man would be dead soon. He’d already taken so much, and he was still keeping his secrets.

Bull was growing impatient. Grant was as well. He didn’t have time for this. He wanted to be in the hospital, taking care of Aria, not listening to this piece of shit screaming. Running a hand down his face, he listened as there was another grunt as Bull started in on the teeth. Miguel still believed he had all the power.

Grant cleared his throat and moved over to the tools that were displayed on the table. He picked up five knives. That was it, five.

“Can I have a go?” Grant asked.

“You’re asking for permission to torture the man that nearly killed your woman?”

“Yes.”

Bull looked at Miguel and then him. Grant was bored. He waited.

“Fine, but you can’t kill him.”

Grant walked over to the far corner and grabbed one of the large wooden chairs stacked up there. Lifting it off the pile, he carried it across the room in front of Miguel. His movements were very relaxed. He sat down and stared at Miguel.

“Do you think you scare me? The younger brother. The mistake.”

Grant stared at Miguel.

Miguel laughed. “Are you trying to bore me to death?”

“I’m watching you because I enjoy seeing in person how the mighty fall.” Grant smiled. “It’s a good look on you.”

“Fuck you.”

Grant shrugged. “You see, the difference between my brother and me is he’s getting impatient because he thinks you’re going to get to a point where you’ll tell us everything. What good are you then, we can just kill you. It still sounds like a lot of fun, but after all the shit you’ve put us through and this town, that doesn’t sound like a nice idea.” Grant held one of the blades up toward the dim light. It was sharp. Pat would make sure every single item was. There was no room for sloppiness in their line of work.

In one swift move, Grant imbedded the knife all the way to the hilt within Miguel’s thigh.

“But you see, I don’t give a fuck about the rest of your Cartel. It’ll take them a while to get their shit together, needing a brand-new leader, and then they’ll come back. We took out Julio and now you, so I don’t see you guys being much of a problem anymore. Someone will realize taking on the club means death, and everything will go back to normal. We’ll have our lives back, and maybe the next guy that takes over will keep his position long enough to get his dick sucked. As for me, you took Aria, you kidnapped her and her friend, and chained her to a cemented bed, and then got your men to set fire to the abandoned hotel. That for me means you’re not leaving this basement. She’s in the hospital, in a coma. I don’t know if she’s going to wake up, and while I don’t know what will happen to her, I’ve got to get my entertainment somehow, and the only way to do that is to deal with you.” Grant held another knife and did the same thing to the other leg, slamming the blade in to the hilt and watching Miguel as he tried not to scream.
