“No, you’re just a teenager with her head down the entire time I saw you.”

“Not the entire time. Anyway, just because we’re step-siblings doesn’t mean we need to fight. In fact, we should just do our best to keep our distance,” she adds with enough attitude that I use to keep her at arm’s length.

“Good. I like the sound of that.” I really don’t care for that shit, but she’s a kid and I’m a grown man. Maybe I need to finally get a woman. That idea holds no interest, and I quickly squash it. I’m forever going to be alone.

The elevator dings open, and I step out first to adjust my cock and she walks straight into me. “Paying attention, eh?” I challenge.

“Ugh. No one told you to stop moving.”

I snatch her phone out of her hand.

“Hey, give that back to me.”

“No, little girl. You can have this back when we get back to the house.” I tuck it into my pocket and continue walking.

“Dick,” she mutters behind me. I’ll give her a real big dick if she keeps it up. I’m so damn horny, it’s stupid.

“Is that what you’re asking your boyfriend for? Sorry, little girl, but you’re going to have to wait. Your parents have me babysitting you.”

“I’m an adult.”

I look her up and down and then add, “Physically, but mentally? I’m not quite sure.”

“You don’t know me, Roman. You think you’ve got me pegged, but you don’t.”

“If I have you pegged, sweetheart, you’d know.” I walk to the valet in silence and hand him my ticket.

I’m walking a fine line, and this little thing has me so fucking intoxicated, I’ll never be sober again.

Chapter Two

Amelia

Did he just toss a sexual comment at me? Or was that his way of trying to shut me up? Either way, it worked. My pussy hasn’t stopped soaking my panties since he stormed up to me with vitriol in his eyes, but I didn’t miss the way he made sure to linger on my chest. For someone who doesn’t want me around his dad, he did enjoy the view.

“So how long are we graced with your presence?” I lace my words with sarcasm. A rich bastard with a superiority complex; I’m going to love pushing his buttons until he leaves.

He tosses me a scowl that only adds to his sexy face. “For as long as I please. How long have you lived with my dad?”

“A month, but I’ll be off to college in less than two weeks, so it’s not like I’ll be staying there long.” A low growl comes from him. “Is that too long for you?” I bite out, hating how much he dislikes me. When his father showed us his many pictures and proud articles about Roman, I got a schoolgirl crush on the man. He’s everything dreamy, at least on paper.

I didn’t know what to expect, but I hoped he’d fall madly in love with me. I almost laugh to myself. What a childish thing to think, just because he looks like a handsome prince. He’s really not. He’s an ass that I can’t stop stealing glances at. He’s tall, rugged looking for a man in an expensive, perfectly tailored suit to fit his well-sculpted body, and I ache to run my hands over his jaw.

“No. I won’t be here that long. Where are you going to college? My dad footing the bill for that too?”

“Actually, Mr. Judgmental Jerk, I’m on a partial scholarship with the rest of the tuition payments coming from the money my father left for me when he died.” I lost my father four years ago to a boating accident. He’d been an avid fisherman and a storm kicked up, he hit his head, and he fell into the ocean. They lost him in the waves. It took a day to find him and by then, there was no saving him. I miss him because he was the best dad I could have ever asked for.

He freezes, and I know what's coming next. I put up my hand and stop him in his tracks. "Stop. Don't bother saying sorry. It's not like you're really sincere. Besides, by the time our acquaintance is over, you'll have racked up plenty more."

"Well, Princess. I had no intention of apologizing for shit, and I'll make a note to save myself the trouble. Since I'm no gentleman, get yourself in the car." He walks around the front of the vehicle that I hadn't noticed was in front of us already. I pull open the passenger door and climb inside without another word to him. I smile, knowing I've pissed him off again. The next few days are going to be great.

He catches me smiling and gives me a scowl before putting on his seat belt. "Any time today, Princess." Oops. I click mine into place and stare out the window.
