She literally starts bouncing in the passenger seat.

“Holy fucks! Fuck no, you didn’t tell me that part, Amelia! You’ve been holding out on me. And no, that doesn’t change my opinion; this is fucking amazing! Spill it now…and this time no holding back on important details!”

Laughing I leaned back as I closed my eyes to replay the scene in my mind. I decide to spare her the minutiae because it’s too private.

“Let’s just say, I was as surprised as anyone when Ryan and Reese revealed their interest in each other. But you know what? It’s really hot. Two bronzed, male bodies going at it? Mmmm,” I shiver deliciously.

Without waiting for me to cool down, Toni jumps in.

“Oh my God, girl! I don’t know Amelia. If you don’t snatch them up, then I will. I’ve never heard of men being described like this before. Give them to me!”

I giggle then.

“Alright there, hot pants. Not so fast. But seriously, Toni. Do you think it could really work? I mean, they’re literally like male models, and I’m well …” I gesture helplessly at my curvy form. “Sometimes I can’t even get the seatbelt to go around my body. You know that I have to bring a seatbelt extender on the plane these days.”

Toni gives me a mock glare.

“None of that foolishness, Amelia. They’d be stupid to not want you, and half of the American population uses a seatbelt extender these days. Besides, who cares? Clearly, they love your body, and now, lucky for you, you get to double up on all that sexiness. Two cocks coming to plug your two holes.”

Pushing her shoulder, I roll my eyes.

“I can’t believe you just said that. You’re like a teenage boy. I don’t even know what to do with you right now.”

Shoving me back, Toni asks, “So what’s next? When are you seeing them again?

“Well, I originally had an interview for an available waitress position they have at Burger Heaven today of all days, but I’m not sure if I should keep it now. I mean, at this point I’ve already slept with my potential bosses, which isn’t a good look. Plus, they mentioned talking about what happened last night. I’m not sure if I’m ready for that conversation today.”

Toni rolls her eyes and blows out some air which makes her blonde bangs puff out.

“Of course, you’re going. Don’t be silly. Go home and put on a low-key but cute outfit, and go in there and knock their socks off. You deserve some happiness, especially after all of the bullshit Roger put you through. So, don’t be afraid to go after what you want. If you want them, then go get them. To hell with the rest. What’s the worst they could say: no, you’re not hired? No, we don’t want to sleep with you again? You just said that you’re not even sure if you want that.”

Toni is right. The worst thing they could say is that they don’t want a relationship with me. I’d be devastated, but given what’s happened with Roger already, I think I could handle it. Maybe.

Either way, we still have to be around each other seeing as they’re my dad’s college friends. It would be weird if they suddenly dropped out of poker night after years of coming to play. So I might as well get the hard part out of the way before my dad notices the awkwardness and figures out what’s going on.

“Okay, okay, okay. You’ve convinced me. I’ll go to the stupid interview. Happy now?”

A grin splits my friend’s face from ear to ear.

“Damn straight. Well, what are you waiting for? Off with you!”

“Umm…you’re still in my car. Kind of need you to get out in order for me to go anywhere.”

Laughing, Toni opens the door.

“I see how it is. You get one amazing sexual experience and now you’re talking back to your best friend. I guess people always change,” she says airily.

Rolling my eyes, I reply.

“Whatever you say, Cruella. Now out! I have some serious getting ready to do.”

As she closes the door, Toni yells through the window.

“I expect major details tomorrow, so you better make them good!”

Waving her off, I started the journey home to get ready. As I drive home, I continue to replay my conversation with Toni in my head. I don’t know why I was stressing so much over this. This is Ryan and Reese, after all. I’ve known them for as long as I can remember. They’re practically family, come to think of it. When I was young, my dad would tape emergency numbers to the refrigerator, and Ryan and Reese were always on there as emergency contacts.

Plus, clearly, they enjoyed themselves last night or else it would not have gone as far as it did. I just need to get out of my own head, and enjoy the ride for what it is.
