“I swear, he and Eli deserve each other.” Tossing the phone on the bed, I quickly changed clothes, sliding into jeans and a tight black T-shirt before I could get another call or distracted by work again. “Phone. Keys. Notebook. Date with Emerson later. Yes, I’ve got everything all planned out.”

****

When had I lost complete control of the conversation?

“No, pretty one. We’re not counting phone calls as dates.” When had I agreed to any kind of third date meant sex rule? “This is date number one. We might be able to say one and a half if we count dinner the other night, but that would be stretching it.”

Tea parties were not dates.

Emerson gave me the sweetest, most manufactured pout. “Yes, Owner.”

When I groaned, because it sounded ridiculous, his eyes sparkled mischievously. That naughty sparkle reminded me of something I’d been meaning to talk to him about. “Did you know that I got an interesting phone call from Roman this morning?”

He blinked and a genuine look of confusion flashed over his face.

Emerson had no idea why he should find that interesting, but he smiled after a second. “That’s very nice. Did you have a good conversation?”

Before I could answer, his eyes lit up. “Oh, I bet he was curious about the pictures. He wanted to know about those yesterday.”

He was so cute.

“Yes, he did ask about the pictures, but he was also curious about our tea party.” That had Emerson scrunching up his face, and it was so cute I wanted to lean over the table and kiss him.

“He doesn’t seem like the tea party type, but I guess I shouldn’t judge?” He shrugged and seemed to be trying to decide if he should be disappointed in himself or not.

“I don’t think it’s a matter of judging.” No. Roman would never want a tea party unless it was for some kind of photo shoot. “You read him accurately. He was talking about Eli and some of the other subs.”

“Oh, that’s nice.” Emerson perked up again and took a sip of his iced tea. “Eli would look very pretty in a tea party dress.”

Ah.

I was starting to see how the idea had spread like wildfire.

“I think so too.” Might as well encourage the chaos. “You know, it might be fun to show him some pictures of tea parties to help him figure out what he likes.”

It would serve Roman right.

“That’s a wonderful idea.” Emerson nearly bounced in his seat as his mind started to run off in a new tangent. “You know, Eli mentioned something about tea parties being a very good theme. He probably needs ideas for something. He’s very creative.”

I was an evil, evil man…but I was a very good tea party Dom.

“I’m sure we could come up with a lot of good ideas.” I shrugged looking wonderfully innocent, even if I did say so myself. “We’ll have to have another one so we can figure out more ideas. Hmm, what do we think of a princess party? I think I have a tiara somewhere.”

Roman could kiss my big hairy ass.

Emerson lit up like it was Christmas. “Oh yes, and I need to have pretty panties that match my tiara too.”

Of course, our waiter took that exact moment to walk over. He just stared at Emerson for several long seconds as he opened and closed his mouth. I wasn’t sure if I was going to have to step in and say something or at least poke him, but Emerson was very helpful.

He gave the waiter a beautifully innocent smile. “Clothes should always match. What if you get into a car accident?”

Then, as the waiter nodded absentmindedly, he looked down at the last of the Pad Thai on his plate and back up at the waiter with a sweetly excited expression. “Oh, and everything is wonderful tonight. Thank you.”

That had the waiter’s brain coming back online.

He nodded and let out a breath before standing straighter. “Thank you…Sir.”

Emerson just gave him another beaming smile as the waiter wandered off without ever having looked at me.

When my naughty doll turned back to me, he was still smiling. “He was very nice. I wonder if we know anyone who’s looking for a princess little?”

Huh?

“People are so interesting.” Before I could find a way to respond to that, he was off again. “Oh, Owner, how are we defining dates? Good communication is very important.”

I wasn’t sure which rabbit trail I wanted to follow, but the dates one was more immediately applicable to me personally, so that helped me make the decision. “Pretty one?”

My stern but still even tone had him sighing and pouting as he rested his elbows on the table and then let his head rest in his hands. “Yes, Sir?”

Hmm, not even a cheeky Owner?

“I am not counting dates as a timeline for sexual progression in a special relationship like ours.”
