The small kitchen has plenty of food for me to snack on, and with assignments due for my classes next week, being busy during the storm isn’t going to be an issue. Perhaps leaving my phone behind is a blessing in disguise. The distraction of the tiny device always leads me to procrastinate. Even in its current absence, I’m spending an enormous amount of time thinking about it.

The effort to stop thinking about my phone shifts my thoughts to the only man I want to give my virginity to. My nipples perk at the memories of me and Hunter together. Shivers of pleasure force me to replay our moments endlessly, leaving me with a sense of yearning agony that I want to touch myself simply to ease the pressure. A shower sounds like the best way to take the edge off. If the showerhead can make me feel even a portion of the orgasm Hunter gives me, I’ll be able to sleep soundly.

The water is hot, steamy, and perfect for the stormy night. It doesn’t take long for me to wash up, but the desire for Hunter keeps me in there far longer than I anticipated. I want to touch myself, to bring myself some feeling that can sate my cravings for him. Yet, every time my hands drift toward my pussy, I can’t bring myself to do anything. I can’t help but feel that both me and my pussy belong to Hunter.

The urge to please myself is no longer a priority. It’s best to focus on keeping Hunter off my mind. There’s no better way to do that than dialing in to work on some of my assignments for school.

College isn’t anything like the TV shows. At least, Conklin Community College isn’t. Every student commutes, and I’m only there to earn my business management degree. I want to help out my family’s businesses, especially with each of my brothers running their own companies. They insist on me leaving Conklin to figure out what I want to do, but I’m perfectly okay living close to home.

I’m hoping to buy this house from my brother’s wife, Halo. She’s sweet and the same age as me, but Hayden prefers her at his place. They let this one sit empty until I offered to help take care of it while they figured out what to do with the home.

It belonged to her grandmother, and those touches are still around the place. From the lace linens to the old parquet wood floors, love and family is evident with every step I take through the rooms. The address makes for an easy commute to school, too.

Halo’s old bedroom now serves as an office and library where my books are all over the place. Fundamentals of Business Management: The 12th Edition stares at me beside my pages of notes from last week’s classes. There’s a project due in a few weeks, and I’ve yet to find a business to work with.

The Haven family has three companies, without anyone specifically tackling the finances. I’m going to be that missing piece to our family puzzle. I know my brothers tend to rely on their wives or other people they hire, but with managing these businesses on my resume, I’m going to learn the ropes and be well-paid to help out the family.

I’m not sure how much time passes when I hear the ring of my doorbell. A part of me hopes that it’s Hendrix with my phone, but I know that’s a long shot. After he finishes his plow duties, I’m certain he’s going home to his wife, Havana. Meanwhile, I’m stuck at home until the storm stops, studying the principles of managing finances within a corporate entity.

Sulking, however, isn’t going to make studying easier, and it’s not going to answer the door. The person on the other side must truly be in need, and as an active member of Saint Alban’s Church, I’m not going to leave someone stranded on my doorstep.

The security app doesn’t let me see through the bundles of layers of the person ringing the bell, but this is Conklin. No one is going to be out in this storm, even if they’re up to no good. It only takes a few seconds for me to get downstairs and open the door to the best sight I can get on a night like this.

Father Hunter Hudgens is standing on my doorstep.

“Come on in,” I say, moving out of the way and turning on the lights of the living room and kitchen.

Hunter’s boots are heavy and ominous even as he takes a few steps inside, shaking the snow off his hair.

“Sorry to impose, but I believe you forgot this.” Hunter pulls my phone out of a pocket and hands it to me.

“Thank you.” I stare at him a moment before my manners kick in. “Come inside and get warm. The governor declared a state of emergency. Only official vehicles are supposed to be on the road right now, and rightfully so. The snow’s coming down so hard.”
