"The goal of the project is to look at the financial statements of a business, identify cost savings, increase profit, and make actual suggestions that can be implemented because the majority of us are going to take Fundamentals 2 in the spring. We're going to review the results of this semester's project and report whether our suggestions were successful or how to improve our consultation process."

"Perfect. You can start with January, and I'll keep working through March. With some luck, we can get through June before we have to get out of here. Then you can let me take you out to dinner."

The firmness of my cheeks is a bit alarming from how hard I'm smiling. "You don't have to do that. You're already doing me a favor by opening your books up to someone like me. I'm not even licensed yet."

"Well, you're not filing any of these documents with the IRS, so I think it's a great learning experience. I'm always going to take care of you, baby girl. Know that and trust it."

"I trust you, Hunter."

He moves in close, sneaking a kiss in with his office door open. My shock is as short-lived as the kiss.

"Good. Now let's get started, baby girl."

HUNTER

God is watching me.

The excitement rippling through my body as I taste Harper's lips briefly isn't enough to get my cock hard again, but it's enough to give me something to fantasize about while we work.

There's a moment when I want to kick everyone out of the church to do all kinds of things with Harper. However, I know that temptation won't allow me to be completely reckless. Rejecting my vows of abstinence is enough.

Working beside Harper is a great distraction as she picks up one document after another. Sounds of pens scrawling notes and pages turning fill the silence of the words we aren't speaking. Outside of a question or two, we flow through the church's financial statements.

When we stop to take a break, I finally see what time it is. It's nearly seven in the evening, and we're just about done reviewing the month of May. I push myself away from the desk, glancing at Harper's whose nose is still in the books.

The office door is still open, letting in a few sounds to let me know there are still people inside the church. There are a few meetings and groups that take place throughout the week. Tonight's a planning committee for the New Year mass and events taking place over the next few months. It's preliminary so I know I can just read the notes, but they won't let me miss the next one.

I wonder if I'll still be a priest by the next meeting. I have intentions of making Harper the known love of my life. I'm not sure how the congregation is going to take that. Being the wife of the priest bears a heavy expectation of piety that I don't want her pressured to become.

"I'm going to peek in on the meeting for a second, baby girl. I'll be right back," I tell her and head toward the open office door. There's a sense of pride I have for the amount of restraint we've been able to hold while in this close space together.

"Okay, Daddy," she says without moving her eyes away from the pages in front of her.

That's my girl. Hardworking and diligent. I love it.

The meeting's taking place in the cafeteria with a few older members of the church and the directors. They're discussing budgets for various events and fundraising goals. I poke my head in with a weary smile.

"Evening, everyone."

Ten people are sitting at a table, all of them taking notes and discussing the topic at hand. They turn to me with a greeting in unison that's clear they don't need me. However, I still ask the question, "Does anyone need me for anything?"

Irene looks up from her seat with a smile. "Not at the moment, Father. Thank you. Go on back to balancing the books. We've got this covered. I'll leave the minutes on your desk before we head out at eight."

"Thank you, Irene. If any of you need me, I'll be in the office." I look around and they get on with their meeting as if I'm a fly on the wall. There are some refreshments, so I grab some bottles of water and a few muffins for us to snack on while we continue to work.

The minute I get back to the office, Harper's no longer sitting on the floor with pages spread around her. Instead, she's bouncing around from one report to another with my sticky notes in her hand. Her eyes are so focused, and I know she’s onto something.

There's no doubt as she starts speaking rapidly. "Have you seen these deposits into this contractor's account? At first, it doesn't look like much—a hundred dollars here, a hundred dollars there. Then I found this sheet."
