His brow shot up and then he chuckled. “You are a very mysterious Little girl. But, the answer is no. We’re not having sex today. I want to look at your finger, and I want to talk to you more.”

“Okay. Fine,” she said dramatically as if he’d disappointed her.

He drew in a breath. “You’re acting naughty, Little girl.”

She shrugged. “Sometimes.” The truth is she’d never been naughty because she’d never had anyone to be naughty with. This was her first experience with a Daddy.

She wasn’t nervous about going to his house. Not at all. She trusted him, plus she was attracted to him so she wouldn’t care if they did get carried away and ended up having sex. She wasn’t a prude.

When he pulled into an older neighborhood, she sat up straighter, looking out the windows. The trees were full grown and draped over all the lawns. Each house was unique and inviting.

She smiled as Milo parked in the driveway of a brick ranch home with rosebushes all around the porch and a rocking chair next to the front door.

She waited for him to come around and let her out of the car because it obviously pleased him, but she did manage to remove her seatbelt this time.

Milo held her hand as he led her to the front door. He did that a lot. Held her hand. So far he’d held her hand every time they’d walked somewhere.

Milo unlocked the front door and stood back to let her enter first.

She wiped her palms on the front of her jeans as she entered. This was a huge step for her. She was nervous. Not about sex but out of fear that something would happen soon to bust this perfect bubble she was wandering around in.

A Daddy was interested in her. Not just any Daddy but Milo Dante. The Daddy she’d been ogling for a long time. Would he still be interested in her when he found out she was a bit of a fraud at the bar?

Milo shut the front door, turned on the lights, and set his hands on her shoulders from behind. “Would you like a glass of water or anything, baby?”

She shook her head. “I’m fine.”

She glanced around his home. It was warm and inviting with a beige sofa and darker brown armchair. There was a fireplace with a flat screen hanging over it. The attached kitchen had dark wood furniture and cabinets. The floors were hardwood with a fluffy rug in front of the couch.

“I love your place,” she said.

It seemed like he exhaled a deep breath. “I’m glad, baby. Now, let’s get a look at that finger, okay?”

“I’m sure it’s fine,” she responded futilely as he led her down a short hallway. She looked both ways as they passed an office, a guest bath, and a spare bedroom before entering the master bedroom.

He guided her through and into the master bathroom. As soon as they were inside, he flipped on the overhead lights and lifted her onto the counter.

She squealed. “Milo!”

He chuckled and patted her thigh. “Don’t wiggle. You’ll fall off. I want to examine that finger. Sit still.” He turned to open a linen closet and grabbed a basket filled with first aid items.

She held her breath as he removed the wrap and the bandage from her finger. Luckily, it didn’t look too bad. Her finger was shriveled from being covered too long, but the cut wasn’t bleeding.

Milo examined it closely. “It looks good, baby. You’re lucky.” He turned on the water in the sink next to her, tested it until it was apparently an acceptable temperature, and then held her hands under the faucet.

Her heart beat faster as he squirted soap into his palm and then used his hands to wash hers. It was intimate and sweet. She was disappointed when it was over and he dried them.

“There. Leave it alone for the rest of the night. It will look even better in the morning.”

“Okay.” On instinct, she grabbed his biceps, tipped her head back, and drew his face down to hers.

She couldn’t resist kissing him again. The man had no idea how attractive he was and what he did to her libido.

She was glad when he grabbed her hips and nudged between her thighs to deepen the kiss. He tipped his head to one side, let his tongue glide along the seam of her lips, and teased her until she parted for him.

It wasn’t a hardship. She loved kissing him. She was also glad they’d eaten the same thing for dinner. They both tasted like the mint they’d grabbed on the way out of the restaurant covering up the faint hint of tomato sauce and spices.

He broke free of the kiss eventually, panting. He was also grinning. “What is it with you and bathrooms and kissing?”
