Hydro reaches out, “Get that but it’s our club name he used and stood behind. We want to clean this up. Pres to Pres, how would you feel?”

I give it a thought. Sara is safe, they didn’t know this man was taking things into his own hands. If it was my house that someone claimed to be with, I’d want vengeance too. He took a name that wasn’t his to take and carried out things without the Pres, yeah, he is going to the ground either way.

“I’ll give you this one. But if he’s still breathing before I leave the state of Texas, I’ll turn around and end him myself.”

On a nod from Hydro, I turn to Dove and get back to the truck to go get Sara.

We pull up to the old store and I don’t bother shutting the truck off. Rushing in, my eyes lock to hers as if no one else is there.

“Sugar,” she says rushing to me. Her eyes are different. The concern, the connection, the passion, it’s like I can see her damn soul. Once she gets near me, I reach out grabbing her to me where my lips hit hers. Tongues clash as I pull her against me. I can’t get close enough. Only when she pulls away to breathe do I relax.

“Happy to see me,” she whispers as a challenge.

“Always.”

Everyone around us is forgotten as I hold her close.

“I’m sorry,” I whisper and her gaze softens even more. “What are you thinkin’? Your mouth isn’t telling me what’s going on, but your eyes, baby, they are saying too much all at once.”

She sighs, “Umm, yeah, my sister tells me all the time, my mouth may not say it, but my face will.”

“Say it, Sweets, anything, just let me in.”

She sighs, “Kinda been through hell and feeling a little ridiculous. I don’t know your name. I don’t even know what is going on really. I don’t know if I have a job to go home to. I don’t know who that guy is over there. I don’t know what I’m doing. I just know that thinking of you makes me feel wanted. Thinking of you makes me feel strong. Thinking of you got me through this and well, I don’t even know you.”

I smirk, “my name is Clay, we can start there. Anything else, I’ll tell you whatever I can, Sweets. I’m just thankful to have the chance to see you again.”

Playfully she pats my cut, “Oh, you want to see me again, I must’ve gave it to you good, Sugar.”

There she is, my woman. Not fazed.

I look over her head to the man who is no longer hiding behind a ski mask. “Sara is mine. You touched what’s mine. That line, you don’t fucking cross it, Chuck! They have one hour. They don’t end you, I’ll be back to personally do it. Got me?”

Sara reaches up and turns my head back to face her. “Sugar, I’d really like to put all of this behind me. Young buck over there grabbed me, he was what they call a prospect. He didn’t know what he was doin’. He was tryin’ to have friends. I don’t think he meant to cause a ruckus, just wantin’ to show off like men do sometimes. It’s all good, big brute. How about you get me outta here so I can shower, then take me to a hotel and take me for a ride,” she winks and I am instantly soothed.

The need to destroy him is gone with my cock wanting to get out of here and give Sara a ride before all the other things.

Yes, she is mine. I just have to show her it won’t always be like this.

She is made for me, she’s meant to be a Hellion. Yes, it’s time for us to ride out …

SARA

“Is there anything you don’t know how to drive? Because you definitely drive me crazy.”

Interlacing our fingers, he leads me to a truck. Not like a pick-up truck, no an eighteen wheeler with a trailer. It’s a huge International truck with a long front end. I only know the brand because my Uncle Tommy has always been a die-hard International guy.

Mostly, he likes the International tractors, but the design is distinctive even in their big rigs. The chrome shines in the Texas sunshine with a red paint job and black stripes for accents. It’s pretty, if one can call a truck pretty. The two chrome smokestacks are definitely as eye catching as the whole truck.

One thing about my Uncle Tommy, he believes in brand loyalty. International tractors were the tractor of choice for my grandfather when he worked the family farm. It’s what all my mom’s siblings grew up working the farm with. Even though Uncle Tommy doesn’t work on the farm anymore, he still loves to talk about tractors and the history behind them. He’s a walking information deck about things he loves.
