I exhaled and pulled her against me.

“What . . .?”

I took her surprised mouth in a long, extremely passionate kiss.

“I’m going to be hurting tonight. I just thought you should know.”

“You are?”

I nodded, still holding her against me. She looked relieved that I was in pain, which made me want to laugh even with my cock aching for relief. I didn’t mind though. She was a bloodthirsty girl, which I found adorable.

“This was the hardest damn thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

“Really?”

Now she looked even happier.

“Yes. Really.”

I pressed a quick kiss on her lips and turned on the car.

“Put your seatbelt on.”

This time, for once, she actually listened to me. She started chatting as I drove her home. I usually hated listening to people yammer away about nothing, another reason I avoided social situations whenever possible. But her voice was special. Sweet and sexy and melodious. I wanted to hear what she thought about all the little things in her life, casual observations, everything and anything.

Kelly, bless her heart, was more than happy to tell me.

We were both relaxed and smiling by the time I pulled into her driveway. The guys were parked out of sight a few blocks away. Someone was meeting us there to take Hunter back to his bike. I kissed Kelly softly and said goodnight. I couldn’t resist squeezing her gently before I let her get out of the car.

I waited until she was inside and then a little while longer to make sure no one was creeping around. It was dark so I doubted anyone would see me there, though anyone watching closely enough would have noticed her getting out of the passenger seat of her own car.

Sticking to the shadows, I made my way to Vice, who was still waiting with my ride. Tonight was a success. Kelly was falling for me, whether she knew it or not. And our next date would be a lot more satisfying.

My dick hurt, but it was well worth it. I was going to see Kelly again soon. And next time, I was going to be the one making the rules.

1. Rule number one: panties off.

2. Rule number two: that sweet pussy belongs to me.

Chapter Eight

Cassandra

“Don’t forget the salsa!” I called out as I used my butt to open the screen door.

Mason laughed and shook his head where he was chopping something on the kitchen island. He was the master chef around here. I missed his cooking when I moved out and tried to get him to bring me food whenever possible.

“Your wife is always hungry for my cooking, Connor. Don’t you feed her?”

“You spoiled her with all that chili! I swear the woman can’t taste anything that doesn’t have jalapeño in it. Then she kisses me and it burns my damn lips off!”

Mason nodded and winked at me.

“Good girl.”

I laughed. Mason and Con got along, but they liked to give each other a hard time as much as possible. Mason still saw Connor as the cretin who had more or less abducted his innocent girl, never mind what he did after. Mason definitely did not need to know that Connor had tied me up. Or about the strip poker and sex games.

I hoisted a babe on each hip.

“Come on, let’s go pester your Aunt Kelly.”

Kelly was out back on the deck, staring wistfully at the trees. She was quiet today. I wasn’t sure if Con had told her about the latest killing or if it was something else that had her so thoughtful. The girl was usually a bubbly energy ball. I’d called her ‘motorboat’ because she talked so fast when she was excited . . . until Connor told me what motorboat meant.

“You okay, hon?”

She turned and smiled at me, holding out her arms for the baby. I handed him over and settled our toddler into the playpen Connor had carried out to the deck earlier. Kelly was staring at her nephew, bouncing him on her lap. I took the baby back after a few minutes and she sighed.

“You catching baby fever, Kelly? Because I am more than happy to loan out your niece and nephew.”

She shook her head swiftly with a soft laugh. So it wasn’t that.

“Okay. So spill it.”

She closed her eyes and then gave me a look full of hope and confusion.

“It’s Cain. I saw him.”

“Saw?”

“We . . . had a date.”

My eyes widened. The head of the Untouchables MC was a notoriously hard but fair man. He hardly ever spoke and he never showed interest in women. Until our wedding two years ago.

That night, we had all watched in amusement as he tailed Kelly around the restaurant before disappearing to suck face with her on the patio for hours. Connor had not been amused. Mason had.

It was clear as day that there was a potent attraction between the giant taciturn biker and my bubbly little sister-in-law. It was kind of perfect. He was stoic. She was flighty and gregarious. He was serious. She never stopped making jokes. But for all their differences, they had one thing in common. They were two of the most loyal people to ever walk the face of the earth.
