“I am?”

“Yes, woman. I . . . I’ve never felt anything like that.”

“Was it weird? Or good weird?”

“Not weird at all. Just fucking amazing.”

“Oh.”

She wiggled underneath me.

“I want you. Can we do the real thing now, please? I’m not even a little bit sore. Please?”

“Kelly . . .”

She spread her legs and wrapped them around my hips. My cock was already hardening again and it went from half to full-mast in less than a heartbeat.

Her cheeks turned pink and she whispered something so soft I had to lean in to hear it.

“Say that again, sweetheart?”

“I said . . . I liked it when you spanked me. Can we do that again, too?”

I wanted to spank her again too. God, I really fucking liked doing that. I was shocked as hell that she liked it so much too.

“Please, Cain? Please spank me and fuck me?” She smiled shyly. “If you want to, I mean.”

I wanted to argue. To say it was for her own good. That I would get her off so she could sleep.

But Kelly and my traitorous cock had other ideas.

“Yes, I fucking want you, woman. Never doubt that.”

“So . . . you’ll do it, then? And we can do more oral again in the morning?”

She rolled over and showed me her perfect, naughty little ass. She looked back at me and bit her lip. My hands reached out to put her in the right position.

Kelly won that fight, I realized later as I stared at the ceiling with a big grin on my face. Her cheeks were red where she sprawled on the bed, already passed out. I gathered her against me and pulled the covers over us.

I decided to let her win all our arguments going forward.

Chapter Twenty

Kelly

“Do we have to go back?”

Cain gave me a look as he zipped his luggage shut. He came to stand behind me and slid his arms around my waist. I sighed as he nuzzled my neck.

“We’ll go somewhere else again soon.”

I turned in his arms, pressing myself against him like a cat.

“Why can’t I come to your place?”

He frowned.

“I don’t want you to worry, but you should be aware. The killer is targeting club guys and their families.”

“Family?”

“Friends, old ladies, even their exes. It’s not safe for us to be seen together yet.”

I pouted at him.

“I hate this. We should just live our lives.”

“I hate it too.” He tapped my chin. “But we can’t. This guy . . .” He frowned and then shook his head. “It’s real dark stuff, baby girl. That’s why I tried so hard to keep you away from it.”

I sighed and went back to packing. I knew he was right. We had to be extra careful. Still, I finally had a boyfriend after waiting my whole life. I wanted to shout it from the rooftops! He nudged me out of the way when I tried to zip my bag shut.

“I got this.”

I sighed dreamily, watching his thick muscles bunch as he leaned on the bag to hold it shut. The man was . . . perfection. Well, other than the whole ‘you can’t come over to my place’ thing.

I narrowed my eyes at him and crossed my arms. I couldn’t help the suspicious thoughts. I ended up watching a lot of reality TV when I hung out with Cass. Maybe I absorbed more of it than I thought.

“Are you sure you don’t have a secret wife?”

He gave me an exasperated look.

“No wife.” He raised his eyebrow at me and pulled me close. “Not yet.”

I melted like an ice cube in Miami.

“Okay, but I do want to see your place soon. I’ll wear a disguise or something.” That got a smile out of him. “When am I going to see you again?”

He kissed me deeply.

“Soon.”

“How soon?”

He chuckled and squeezed my ass.

“Soon soon.”

Cain started kissing me and I felt his hardness against me instantly. I had to admit, I liked having that power over him. I was starting to think we might stay long enough to use the bed one more time when his phone went off.

He cursed and stepped away, staring at his phone.

“That’s my private line at the clubhouse.”

“What does that mean?”

“It means they are calling from my desk. I gotta take this.”

Cain glanced at me while someone spoke urgently on the other end of the line. I chewed my lip, sitting on the bed next to my bag. Cain left the room, speaking in low hushed tones. He hung up and made another call. More urgent this time. When he came back a few minutes later, I could tell he was upset.

“So, was that your secret wife?” I joked, but he didn’t laugh. He just shook his head. A bad feeling settled in the pit of my stomach.

“Change of plans. I’m taking you to your brother’s house.”
