What the fuck was it about this woman that drew me in like two magnets colliding?

Wait. We were supposed to talk. Right?

“Hold up.” I pulled back, my breath already ragged. She was in the same state. “We need to do the talking thing.”

“Later,” she said, gripping my tie and pulling me back to her mouth.

I fell into the kiss, barely noticing when both my tie and my shirt hit the floor. She could do whatever she wanted to me as long as I was the only one she was doing it to.

Shit. Wait.

I broke the kiss and stepped back, putting a few feet between us.

“Sawyer?” she asked, leaning her weight back on her palms. Her lips were swollen from my kiss, her cheeks flushed, and her thighs parted, waiting for me to come back.

“Talk. We have to talk,” I repeated, more to remind myself why I wasn’t currently stripping her naked.

“Nope, we don’t.” She shook her head, losing a few strands of her purple hair from the top knot. “That’s part of the whole no-strings-attached sex.” Her gaze swept down my body, and I gripped the kitchen counter to stay right where I was.

“You were serious about that?”

“Hell yes, I was.” She nodded just in case the words hadn’t been enough.

“No relationship...no…” I shook my head, at a loss for words.

“That’s the idea. Just you, me, and a lot of hot, sweaty sex that leaves us both satisfied.” She hopped down from the counter and kicked her shoes off.

My cock agreed to everything she was saying, and made that fact painfully obvious.

“Come on,” she said, running her hands up my bare chest. “Like you haven’t had sex outside of a relationship before.”

“Yeah, but not with someone I liked,” I argued.

Her lips lifted. “You like me.”

“I just said that.”

She leaned forward and kissed the skin right above my heart, sending a jolt of pleasure through me. “So then what’s the problem?” She started kissing her way down my chest, and I nearly forgot what I could possibly have a problem with.

I had a beautiful, funny, awesome woman offering me her body with zero attachment issues, and I was questioning this why?

“I don’t want to fuck up our friendship,” I blurted as I remembered. “I like being around you. We’re always at Scythe. I don’t want any of that to change.”

She looked up at me as she kissed the line of my abs to where it disappeared in my slacks. “It doesn’t have to change. We’ll be friends who sleep together.”

She went for my belt, and I gripped her under her arms and lifted her to her feet. “God, you’re fucking distracting.”

“That’s the idea.” She tilted her head, and a shadow passed over her eyes. “Unless you don’t want me…”

“I fucking want you,” I growled, pulling her against me so she could feel just how badly I wanted her. “Feel that? It’s only because of you. Trust me, right now it’s taking every shred of self-control I have not to carry you to my room and fuck you so hard that you’ll feel me with every step you take for the next month.”

“I’m good with that plan,” she replied with an impish smile. She crossed her arms at the hem of her sweatshirt and pulled it off in one smooth motion. It landed on the floor with my tongue.

“Damn it, you’re beautiful.”

“Don’t sound so angry about it,” she teased as she shimmied out of her leggings until she stood before me in just a matching bra and panty set.

God, her body was perfect. High, full breasts, a smooth, soft stomach that begged for my touch, supple thighs that topped the sexiest legs I’d ever seen. She was built for sex—to be worshipped by tongue and teeth. My tongue and teeth.

“Why would you agree to something like this?” I managed to ask, already mentally planning how I was about to get her off.

“Because I want you.” She came close enough that I caught that vanilla scent she wore. “Because I think about you when I should be pouring a drink, or hanging out with my friends. Because I think I might actually catch fire if you don’t touch me, but then you do, and I’m up in flames, anyway—even hotter than I thought possible.”

“It’s the same for me,” I admitted, reaching for the soft slope of her waist. Her skin was as soft as satin and so very warm. “But I can never get enough of you, and our schedules are so fucked up that I lose track of what day it is.”

“Exactly.” She wound her arms around my neck. “That’s why this is perfect. No expectations. We see each other when we can, or when we want to. No one gets hurt.”

I swallowed as she lowered a hand to my buckle. When I didn’t stop her, she dropped the second hand and made quick work of dropping my pants. I kicked out of my shoes and removed my socks.
