I smiled at Cade, cherishing this moment.

“You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this. Hoping that one day you’d meet my children.”

“Me too.” I softly replied.

The day flew by as I was reunited with what felt like my long-lost family. Their parents were emotional when they saw me, but it wasn’t awkward. It was amazing. It was no time had passed and as if the last ten years didn’t matter. The lies weren’t there anymore. Everything was out in the open.

We were all free.

I picked up baby Paige and threw her on my hip. Cade was right, she did warm up to me. I saw him walking over to us.

“We’re best friends now,” I declared, referring to me and his baby girl.

“She’s going to have to get in line.”

“Do you mean that?”

“Of course I do.” He exhaled a deep breath. “I’m so sorry, Paige. For everything. I should have been the bigger man and come to you. I wish I could go back and change things between us. You were my best friend and what hurt the most was you felt like you couldn’t trust me.”

“I know…it’s just… You were always so adamant about your brother being off-limits.”

“I was trying to protect you. And Adrian fed right into that fear when he lied and said he didn’t love you. I blamed myself for a long time that I let you fall into what I thought was a challenge for him. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Adrian loves you and I know you love him too. I mean.” He smiled. “I couldn’t ask for a better sister-in-law.”

“Wow. Between you and Adrian, I’m getting wifed up and pregnant today.”

“Definitely, if Adrian has anything to say about it.”

“I’m sorry for everything too, Cade. I never wanted to hurt you.”

“I know.”

I wrapped my free arm around his neck, hugging him. There was something about holding baby Paige and embracing my best friend that made this moment that much more special.

Cade hugged me back, kissing the top of my head.

Baby Paige’s first birthday was the beginning of the next chapter in our lives. The one where we were all together again.

This time, Adrian Drake was…

Second chance mine.

Epilogue

Adrian

Now: Six weeks later

Ileaned close to her face, my entire body hovered above her.

“Why didn’t you tell me you owned a house in Tampa?”

“Does that make you happy?”

“Very.”

We were spending a lot of our time back home, hanging out with Cade and Hayley. It was amazing. I was living the dream with my Cherry girl.

“Why are all your homes huge it’s just you?”

“I was buying for the family I knew I’d have with you.”

I didn’t give her a chance to reply before my mouth was on hers. The passion that radiated off of me sent spasms down her body. She wrapped my arms around my neck as I pushed her further into the mattress. Our mouths never stopped devouring one another.

I growled, slipping my tongue passed her parting lips. “I love you,” I whispered in between kissing her.

“I love you, too,” she murmured, not breaking our connection.

“I’m going to tell you what’s going to happen next.”

“Oh, I like this game.”

Picking her up, I wrapped her legs around my body. Carrying her into the bathroom.

“We’re going to confirm what I already know and then…”

She pecked my lips.

“You’re going to make me the happiest man in the world and marry me.”

Her eyes watered.

“Adr—”

My mouth collided with hers again, taking everything she was giving me.

“That wasn’t a question.”

Paige

A smiley face.

Two plus signs.

Two pink lines.

One plus sign.

And then the word…

Pregnant.

Clear as day for us to read. I took six different pregnancy tests, and they all gave me the same result.

I grabbed my head. “I can’t believe this!”

He sat me on the counter and came to stand between my legs.

“You probably knocked me up probably the first time we had sex.”

“I told you, sweetheart. Do it right the first time or don’t do it at all.”

“Oh my God! You’re incorrigible.”

We both laughed.

“And you love it.”

“I do.”

“I can’t wait to see you pregnant, your belly swollen with my baby.”

I gasped as he pulled out a Tiffany jewelry box from inside his suit jacket.

“Adrian…”

“You didn’t think I’d ask you to marry me without a ring to seal the deal?” He opened the box, showing me the most beautiful princess-cut diamond. Grabbing my hand next, he slid it down my finger.

“Wow. You even got the size right.”

“I do everything right.”

“Mmm-hmm.”

I watched as he dropped to his knees to kiss my belly.

“I can’t wait to meet you.”

“Cade and Hayley are on their way over and you’re going to make me cry.”

He looked up at me as he hugged my stomach flush against his chest. I loved it when he was on his knees in front of me. It was such a submissive position for him.

I wasn’t the only one at his mercy.
