“Nice game, baby,” Stephen told me as he reached me, hooking his arm around my waist to pull me into a sweet embrace.

“We’ll be able to sell her gloves for a fortune in about ten years,” Mikael joked before kissing me on top of the head.

“It was just a regular block, guys,” I laughed as they swarmed me with affection. At that point, I was used to it, welcoming every kiss, hug, and touch. There was nothing like feeling the love of six amazing men, who I cherished in more ways than one. I didn’t know what I would do without them.

“A game-winning block,” Colm corrected me as he grabbed my hand, stealing me away to be pulled into a sandwich hug between him and Jed.

I wrapped my arms around Colm’s body, enjoying the warmth and pressure of Jed’s strong chest against my back. Honestly, I could stand there squished between them forever.

“Thank you for coming. I know I always say that after every game, but it still means a lot,” I told them.

We all came a long way. From rivals to lovers. The love story I shared with them was one I hardly believed myself, but there I was in their arms and in their hearts. We fought our way to this point, whether we were on the ice or off it, and the love we had would only grow deeper as more months went on.

Jed rested his chin on the top of my head.

“We’ve got your back,” he reminded me.

I smiled as we broke apart, exchanging a grateful look with all of them.

“If everyone is free tonight, I’d love to do a little celebrating,” I said, cocking my eyebrow a little in a manner that made them chuckle and smirk.

“You’re insatiable,” Anthony told me as he put his arm around my shoulders. “But you definitely need to be rewarded for how good you did.”

His words sent a shudder down my spine, heat spreading throughout my body. I gave him a playful push, knowing I needed to put some space between me and them before I made any rash decisions. They worked me up so easily, knowing just what to say or do. I could play that game too, though.

“Alright, alright. I need to change and call my sister. I’ll meet you troublemakers outside,” I said in a pointed voice, shooing them off.

Hugo caught one of my hands and brought my knuckles to his lips.

“Tell Madi we said hey,” he told me.

My face warmed as I nodded. I let them talk to her a few times over FaceTime and even told her the truth about our relationship. She was shocked at first, which I expected, but ultimately, she was happy for me. All she wanted was for someone to love and cherish me. Now, I got six handsome guys to do that.

“I will. She’s been a bit stressed lately taking care her daughter by herself. I wish I was there to help,” I admitted. Madison was too prideful to ask for help, but I could tell she was tired and stressed. I just hoped she never had to deal with her ex-boyfriend ever again.

“I know. There’s a break coming up. Maybe you can visit her,” Hugo suggested.

I smiled at Hugo's suggestion, grateful for his thoughtfulness. As I considered the idea of visiting Madison during the upcoming break, my mind went back to the conversation I had with her about a tattoo.

"You know," I said to Hugo, a mischievous glimmer in my eyes, "I heard Madison talking about getting a tattoo. Can you imagine that? Our little Madi with a tattoo?"

Hugo chuckled, his eyes lighting up with amusement. "Oh, that would be something to see! I can't even picture her stepping into a tattoo parlor. But maybe she's just trying to add a little adventure to her life."

We both shared a laugh, enjoying the lightheartedness of the moment. It was moments like these that made me appreciate Hugo's presence in my life even more. He could always talk me through my worries, leading me through the darkness to a solution instead of more worries. There were plenty of reasons why he was the perfect captain for his team.

“I’ll see you outside,” Hugo told me, shooting me a wink before following the others.

With a racing heart, I watched him go, my smile lingering on my face.

I couldn’t begin to express how grateful I was to have each and every single one of them in my life.

We made our own team, but there weren’t any captains or drama or power struggles. There was just a sense of unity and trust that was unbreakable.

And the love that we shared was unstoppable.
