“Why?”

“Because he was flirting with you in the kitchen. I wanted to drop him on his ass in there. It’s the reason I came in when I did. He was one sentence away from being beaten.”

I stand up and come to his side, running my fingers through his hair. “You don’t have to do that. He was just trying to brighten my mood. I haven’t had a good week, as you know.”

He drags me down onto his lap. “Yes, I heard. Although, I’m hoping that I’ve helped make it all little better.

“You certainly did.” I cross my legs to prevent my pussy juices from dripping on to his lap. “Really, I’m not the best assistant. I didn’t come here to be anyone’s assistant. I’m good at graphic design, and it’s what I went to school for.”

He kisses my cheek then lifts me off his lap and leads me back to my chair. “Okay. Well let me figure some things out, and we’ll get you set up for Monday.”

“Um…okay.” I’m confused about his motives. Is he giving me a position because I’m ready to sleep with him?

“What’s with that suspect response?” he challenges, cocking his brow at me.

“You know…I mean. I’m not trying to sleep with you for a position.”

“Listen, Sweets, I know we started this crazy ride with my face between your thighs, but me finding you something for Monday has nothing to do with it. You were right to be complaining about where you were put. Your records indicated you should be with the design department. In all honesty, I’d rather enjoy you at home waiting for me swollen with my kid, but I’m not trying to take anything away from you.” He kisses my temple and goes to sit back down behind his desk. “And can you cover up really quick and grab the papers off the printer. I don’t want anyone seeing what’s mine.”

I freeze for a moment because the thought of having his babies is all I’ve been thinking about. “Yes, Mr. Harding.” I button up my top and straighten my skirt. My hair’s a total mess now, popping out of my ponytail, so I tug off the hair tie and fix it.

“Damn, I can’t wait until your long hair is splayed over our pillows. Get that copy please before I forget myself again.” I unlock the door and saunter out of his office like nothing’s amiss then walk to the printer.

“That’s where you’ve been this whole time?” His assistant barks off as I approach her in the mailroom.

And without a beat, I reply with a new self-confidence, “Yes, Mr. Harding is showing me some new things. Excuse me.” I grab the paper off the printer and walk past her without another word as her mouth hangs open.

I smile as I walk back in his office without knocking. He returns my smile. “Damn, you’re so fucking beautiful. Sit down and relax while I finish up.”

I hand the papers over to him, bending at the hips so he can see down my blouse. “Is there anything else you need help with?” I ask with a hint of newfound sultriness.

“Shit, are you trying to get nailed on every surface in here?” he groans.

“No, it’s just I’m usually busy,” I lie because I do want to him to bang my brains out.

“Where are your things? Do you have to study?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Then, Sweets get to it because when we go home, you’re going to have very little time for that.” He keeps referring to his home like it’s my place too, but that’s crazy. He’s going to get tired of me once the weekend’s over and I’ll be a distant memory after my internship is over.

“I’ll go get my bag.”

“Great. Don’t take too long, or I’ll have to go find you and carry you over my shoulder.” I roll my eyes because he’s being goofy. The smirk on his face is so damn cute, it makes him look younger than he is. Actually, I don’t know how old he is.

All I know is he’s not married, no kids, and that he’s considered one of the youngest successful billionaires in the world. David made sure to mention it several times during our first few days. I could swear the guy had a crush on him as much as I do. Oh my…is this what this feeling is or is it more? Could I be falling in love with him? My heart races out of control like the moment we met in the lobby, then at dinner. It’s hard to believe how the tables have turned in the office since he walked through the door.

“I won’t be long. I know your time is precious.” I walk out with a warm fuzzy feeling in my gut.

My bag is under the desk in the middle cubicles. I grab it, finding the zipper is open and my things looked to have been gone through. My wallet’s not where I put it initially. My keys are in with everything else. Normally, I keep them in the little pocket so I don’t have to go digging for them later. I wonder if I should say something or maybe I’m just being ridiculous. I could have left it open in a hurry, especially because I wasn’t paying attention after Stone demanded I go into his office and watched me put my things down.
