“Turn for me.” I make a turning motion with my index finger. She rolls those chocolate brown eyes but does as I ask.

I have to bite down on my cheek to keep my groan from slipping. She’s a fucking knockout. “Either,” I finally manage to reply, once I realize she’s staring at me in anticipation.

“Ugh, you’re no help,” she says.

I watch as she turns from side to side, keeping her eyes on the mirror as she tries to decide. I take a few steps, not stopping until I’m standing directly behind her. Our eyes meet in the mirror. I can see the question in hers, while there is nothing but desire in mine.

This fucking dress.

With my bag in one hand, I slip the other around her waist, resting it on her belly. Her back aligns with my front, and I can’t help but notice how perfectly she fits next to me. “It doesn’t matter which shoes you pick. You’re still going to be the most beautiful woman in the room.” Our eyes remain locked. I watch us in the mirror, and her breathing changes, as the rise and fall of her chest quickens.

Bending my head, I place my lips next to her ear. “Close your eyes.” This time I don’t look in the mirror. I keep my eyes on her and watch as she complies. “Let go of the worry of being in the press. Just feel, Joey. Tell me, what are you feeling right this minute?”

“You,” she breathes.

My cock twitches, taking notice of the hitch in her voice and the way her tight little body is pressed up against my own. I swallow hard and ignore her answer. I have no choice in the matter. If we talk about how she feels me, we’re going to be arrested for indecent exposure. “Right foot or left foot, babe? Which one feels the best?” I ask her.

“I… don’t know.”

“Come on. Just feel.”

“How do you know I’m worried about the press?”

“Because we’re having dinner at Sully’s with your father. Caleb and I have been friends for a long time. I can read between the lines. Let go of the worry and the stress of what the press might report. They’re going to regardless of what you choose. Choose what’s right for you.”

“Left,” she finally answers.

“Excellent choice. It will bring out the shimmer of the dress.” And the shimmer in the diamond earrings I just bought her, but I keep that to myself. Now is not the time to lay all my cards out on the table. Reluctantly, I drop my arm from her waist and force myself to take a step back. Instantly I miss the heat of her body and the smell of her skin.

Slowly, she turns to face me. Her cheeks are tinted with a slight blush of pink, and the corner of her mouth is tilted in a smile. “Thanks, Brock.”

“Anytime, beautiful. Do you have everything you need?” I ask, moving my bag in front of me to hide the steel rod in my pants. Not from her. I know she could feel what she does to me, but the Sashas of the world are lurking, and the last thing I need is my hard cock on the front page of some gossip rag.

“Yes. I’m just going to change out of the dress.” She kicks off her shoes and moves to the dressing room.

As she closes the door, I get to work finding the appropriate box that contains the other silver shoe. I make sure they’re the same size, not because I’m worried that they’re not, but because I need something to do. I need to keep my mind busy to try and forget that she’s naked just a few feet away.

Damn. What’s this woman doing to me?

A few minutes later, Joey steps out of the dressing room. Her hair is once again falling over her shoulders. I like it either way, but I do miss the sight of her slender neck. Although it’s probably for the best. Maybe I can keep from wanting to kiss her there if it’s not exposed. That’s a big maybe.

“Ready?” she asks brightly.

I hold up my bag. “I already checked out.”

“Well then, I better get busy putting Caleb’s little black card to good use.”

“Where next? Nails? Hair?” I ask her, trailing along behind her. Yes, I look at her ass in those shorts she’s wearing. How could I not?

“Nah, I was just giving him a hard time.”

I frown at her reply. “You said it had been way too long.” I think back to her earlier conversation with her brother. “Your toes,” I say, recalling the exact conversation.

“Meh, they’ll be fine.” She waves me off as she steps forward in line.

“Do we have time?” I ask her.

She steps up to the counter, placing her items gently on the available space. “Do we have time for what?” She glances at me over her shoulder.
