Because you don’t feel good enough…because you’re telling yourself there’s a reason Neil wasn’t satisfied with you.

I fought to shut those thoughts down quickly and focused on the pleasure Declan was giving me.

Two fingers became three, and he kissed my ass cheek, then nipped at my tender skin with his teeth.

“Please, Declan.” He knew exactly what I wanted. With a curse, he grabbed the condom and shoved to his feet. He ripped open the package and covered himself. I dropped my hands away just as he grabbed my hips and slammed into me in one urgent thrust.

“Look at you being so good for me. Such a tight, perfect hole. I bet everyone wants inside it. Men would line up for a chance to be with you. Fuck, you’d make them want you so much.”

It was like Declan had a direct line inside my head, like he knew my thoughts and what I needed to hear. He wanted me, that much was clear. Well, he wanted to bust a nut. I didn’t know if it was with me specifically, but he was trying to make me feel wanted. I hated that I needed that tonight, but I did. And somehow, I’d known he would see it.

“Harder,” I told him, and he gave it to me. His fingers dug into my hips. His body slapped loudly against mine, the sound of breathing and fucking echoing through the room. My dick leaked on the floor as I slammed backward to meet him, fucking myself on Declan’s cock. I spit in my hand, then wrapped it around myself, jerking off.

“Christ, you’re gonna make me nut. Get yours, Sebastian. Come for me.”

His dick thrust into me again just as my balls drew tight and I shot, my release spurting against the back of the couch and the floor. His movements became more frenzied, and then his nails were digging into my skin, his erection jerking inside me as Declan chased his own orgasm.

We stood there for a moment, just breathing, Declan bent over with his forehead against my back. Then he pulled out slowly and stepped away. “Fuck, I needed that. It’s been a while.”

I knew Declan hooked up, but I also knew just by things he’d said to me and on The Vers that it wasn’t something he did often. His friend Corbin was always talking about getting laid, like he chose someone different every weekend, but that wasn’t how Declan worked.

I watched him as he walked naked to my kitchen, knowing his way around my spacious home, and came back with paper towels. He’d clearly gotten rid of the condom…in my kitchen, which felt a little weird. I’d definitely need to take the trash out. As I wiped myself down, he went for his clothes and started dressing.

“It’s late, Declan. You can stay if you want.”

“Nah, I’m good. Gonna head home. Sorry it took me so long. I had to close and wanted to make sure Kai got to his car safely. There was a creepy guy watching him all night.”

I nodded while trying to clean cum out of the rug. That was sweet of him and didn’t surprise me one bit.

“Thanks, Sebastian. I had fun.”

“Me too.”

We were quiet as he finished getting dressed. He made it all the way to the door before he stopped. “He doesn’t deserve you. It wasn’t anything you did wrong. Assholes are assholes. Don’t take it as something being wrong with you, because there’s not.”

I sighed. “Thank you.”

He turned, looked at me, and winked. “No problem.”

And then Declan Burns was gone.

CHAPTER FOUR

Declan

“It’s time for another segment of ‘Mimosas and Man-Talk,’” Parker said as the four of us sat in the studio in Marcus’s house where we recorded The Vers. It was a monthly segment where we basically did the same thing we always did—talked—only we gave it a different name and people went crazy over it. Society was weird as shit, but then, we weren’t much better since it was our actual segment.

“I still don’t know why we call it ‘Mimosas and Man-Talk.’ I don’t even like mimosas,” Corbin complained.

“Yes, because everything is about you,” I told him. “How could we have forgotten that?” Also, funnily enough, he said he didn’t like them, but he always drank one, including right now.

“Everything should be about me,” Corbin replied. “And I think it’s been too long since you’ve gotten laid. You’re especially grumpy today.”

I gave him the finger, but my thoughts immediately went to Sebastian. It had been a few days since he’d come into Driftwood and then I’d shown up at his house to fuck him. The interesting thing was he’d texted a few times since then as well. That wasn’t completely unheard of, but in the past our messages had either been to arrange a hookup or to check in because it had been a while. We didn’t just message about random shit, but that’s what he was doing now—asking how my day was, about the bar, telling me he was considering getting a cat, which I immediately told him was a bad idea. Cats were assholes. That’s when he’d reminded me I was an asshole too, and I couldn’t say he was wrong.
