He didn’t let her go. He kept on staring at her lips, and even now, it was impossible not to look at his. He was so close. When he told her to get naked, she’d expected him to bully her about her weight.

She was almost naked in front of him, and he could throw every single one of those hated words at her, and yet, nothing. It was like he didn’t see her naked. Yet, when he pressed his cock against her, she felt how hard he was. He liked being this close to her and that scared her. She didn’t want to be close to him, or to anyone. “You won’t hurt Sean,” she said.

He smiled. “I will. I’ll do it for fun.”

“Leave him alone.”

“Will you fight for all your friends with that much spirit, Pru?”

“You’ll never know because you are not my friend.”

He pulled her a little closer so their bodies were now flush together. They shouldn’t be this close. She’d never been with a guy. There were a few times she’d slept beside Sean, but that wasn’t anything sexual.

Drake made it even more so with the way he rubbed his body against hers, so she had no doubt about his arousal.

“Why do you have to be such a dick?” she asked.

“It comes naturally.”

She let out a gasp as he suddenly cupped her face and slammed his lips down on hers. The kiss took her completely by surprise. At first, she didn’t do anything, then she realized who was kissing her and the fact this shouldn’t be happening.

As she fought against him, Drake grabbed her hands, pressing them above her head, stopping her from resisting him.

The kiss went on and on, and after a short while, maybe even only a couple of seconds, it started to feel … nice.

She didn’t try to bite him and as he slid his tongue across her lips. Instead, she opened her mouth, kissing him back.

This was wrong on every single level. Kissing him was a giant mistake. Totally irrational, and yet, she did it. His cock hardened even more, pressing between her thighs, but she wasn’t afraid. This guy had been the one person she’d hated more than anything in the entire world, and yet, his kiss heated her blood.

Drake broke the kiss first. He stared down at her. Neither of them spoke. Her heart galloped inside her chest.

Every part of what they were doing was wrong. She shouldn’t be in his home. The only reason she was here was because of him and Ree.

Sean was waiting for her outside.

Drake licked his lips.

She didn’t have any words.

The kiss wasn’t horrible. It wasn’t anything.

Biting her lip, she waited, hoping to wake up from the worst dream she could ever have.

There was a bang on the door, making them both jump. “Come on, Drake. Let’s get this party started. It drags without you.”

She didn’t know which friend it was nor did she care.

Drake still held her down, even as she tilted her head, looking toward the door.

“I need to go,” she said. All the fight had left her.

Much to her surprise, Drake sat back, giving her the chance to get up. At first, she didn’t move, almost afraid to do anything. Staring at him, she waited for him to strike out, but he didn’t budge.

Sliding away from him, she put some distance between them. All the while, she was acutely aware of the tingling of her lips from the kiss they’d shared. They had kissed and she couldn’t even pretend to have forced him into it. The first touch of their lips, she could say she didn’t participate. The second she started to respond, all matter of force went out of the window.

With Drake giving her space, she rushed toward her clothes and quickly pulled them on, needing the extra layer of protection.

This, between them, was a huge mistake, and one she wouldn’t be repeating.

When she’d pulled her pants on, she turned toward Drake. He still sat in the same position, watching her. She couldn’t move as he stared at her, and she felt a fluttering in her stomach. She wasn’t nervous, though.

“I’m going to go.” She nibbled her lip as she turned on her heel, making her way to the door.

Drake didn’t make a sound. He didn’t stop her.

With her hand on the door handle, she wanted nothing more than to run as far away from him as possible, to never look back.

Still, she rounded herself, turning to glance back at him. He watched her.

Why was he suddenly paying such close attention to her, and why wasn’t she running away from him?

This was a mistake, a big, giant, fat mistake.

Letting go of the door, she walked up to him. He didn’t back down, didn’t move a muscle. Just stayed perfectly still, and it irritated her. Standing in front of him, surrounded by his wealth, she clenched her hands into fists before stepping back and going to the door.
