>>Fox: I wasn’t kidding when I said I’d fucking miss you.

>>Fox: Y’know, if you weren’t still on that trip, I’d have already flown you out to Manhattan. But the RV trip is important for you. Way more than it ever was for me.

>>Fox: I left in a hurry, but we still have so, so much more to talk about. So much more I want to do.

>>Fox: I hope you’re still willing, Sam.

“You look happy!” Greg said as he came through the RV again, picking up his bag from near the front seat. “That’s a lot better than the glum face you had all day.”

I was almost embarrassed by how much I’d enjoyed seeing Fox’s texts.

It shouldn’t matter, I told myself again, just like I’d been telling myself for the past twenty-four hours.

But I did feel like getting the texts gave me a surge of energy I couldn’t even describe.

“Don’t worry about it,” I said, waving Greg off. “Just something funny on my phone.”

More like something hot. Your son’s cock, as a matter of fact.

I retreated to the back of the RV, lying down on the same bed where Fox had fucked me not so long ago. I tapped out a reply.

>>Sam: Oh yeah? You think I would talk to a dirty New Yorker right now? I’m about to hit up the clubs here in San Francisco.

>>Sam: Think you’re going to have to try harder than that if you want my attention.

I popped off my tank top and took a shirtless selfie for him, leaning over on my elbow in bed.

>>Fox: Try harder than this?

The photo was his cock, up close this time, in all its beautiful glory. He was very hard now, and a little bit of precum glistened at the tip of his dick.

>>Sam: Quit distracting me. I’m about to go to the clubs.

>>Fox: Have fun.

I pulled in a long breath, forcing myself not to open up his pictures and jerk off.

That was the whole point. Sure, I loved the attention from Fox, and sure, it had just improved my night exponentially. But the fact remained that I didn’t want what Fox had to offer.

Regardless of whether he was my stepbrother or not, he was still just a hot, unavailable guy.

Otherwise known as a recipe for disaster.

I pushed all thoughts of his perfect cock out of my mind. I showered, put on my best-fitting black tank top, and said goodbye to the family. My taxi arrived soon after, and I was alone for the first time in days. It took a good thirty minutes to get into the heart of the city, and as I arrived, the sun was just starting to set.

“Where are you headed again?” the driver asked as soon as we arrived deep into the city.

“It’s called Club Nexus,” I said.

He turned to glance at me as we stopped at a red light. I noticed that he was young and quite attractive, with bleached blond hair and a star-shaped earring in one ear. He wasn’t exactly my type, but I appreciated his style nonetheless.

He looked me up and down, from my face down to my clothes and back again. “I think you’re going to love Nexus. My ex-boyfriend used to work there.”

“I’m glad to hear it,” I said. “It’s my first time in the city.”

The driver bit his bottom lip, giving me another once-over before turning back around to face the road.

“They’ll love you, that’s for sure,” he said.

I couldn’t keep a smile off of my face. “I sure hope so, because I need to let off some steam.”

“Rough week?”

“Roller coaster of a week, that’s for sure,” I told him. “Been on an RV road trip with my family.”

“I bet you’re out there breaking hearts across the nation,” the driver said.

“Not quite,” I said. Something stirred inside me, and before I knew it, I was blurting out things I’d never intended to tell a complete stranger. “I hooked up with my stepbrother,” I said, almost whispering it even though nobody could hear us inside the taxi.

“Goodness gracious,” the driver said, glancing back at me again with a dropped jaw. “Tell me more.”

I puffed out a laugh, relief flooding through me immediately.

I didn’t know what I’d expected. Maybe for him to judge me, or to be grossed out, or to go silent.

But if anything, the driver seemed a little jealous, and definitely intrigued.

I told him the condensed version of the story of me and Fox, leaving out the more explicit, private details. I suddenly felt like I was in a confessional. This random taxi driver was never going to see me again, but I hadn’t told anybody about Fox. Not even Red. I was usually such an open book, even with my coworkers at the bar, but something about Fox had felt different from day one. I wasn’t ashamed of myself, but it was certainly the strangest hookup I’d had in my entire life.
