I looked over at Blaze. “It’s the change,” I whispered.

He sighed. “Change happens all the time, baby. But freaking out isn’t the way to deal with it. We can’t help you if you don’t tell us what’s wrong, Montana.”

The remaining constriction around my chest eased at his words. It was also the first time he called me baby, too. I leaned my head back against the headrest and closed my eyes, getting myself together. A moment later, I opened my eyes. “Can I go see inside?”

Jonah nodded. “Come on, baby girl.” He helped me down from the truck and grabbed my hand in his. Blaze placed his hand on my lower back, and the two of them led me up to the house—a house that I would now be living in with them.

“What made you two decide on this?” I asked as they led me up the porch.

“You,” Jonah told me simply. My heart warmed. “We chose this house with you in mind. We just hope you’ll love it enough to live here with us.”

I stopped, looking at both of them. “I know I’m a lot to deal with, but I want to be where you two are.” And coming from me, that said a lot. That one sentence packed a hell of a punch.

Blaze smirked. “Good. Then don’t freak about the Alaskan king bed in the bedroom.”

“The what?” I demanded, narrowing my eyes at him.

He just grinned and led me inside.

I scratched my bare abs as I stepped into the kitchen. I was so tired, I was ready to fall on my face. Montana had been insatiable last night. I’d read that pregnancy hormones could make her become hornier, and fuck if that wasn’t true.

Blaze slid a coffee cup to me without a word. I quickly worked on filling it up. “Surprised you’re already up,” I mumbled, bringing my coffee to my face to deeply inhale the aroma. Fuck, that helped some. I took a cautious sip so I wouldn’t burn my tongue or the roof of my mouth.

Blaze leaned back against the counter, crossing his legs at the ankles. “I work out every morning,” he explained.

I snorted. “Yeah, fuck that,” I muttered. I did enough working out at the shop.

Blaze smirked into his coffee. “Wanted to catch you this morning before you left, too,” he said before taking another sip of his coffee. “We need to talk about something.”

I dropped onto a bar stool. “It’s too early for deep conversations,” I told him in all seriousness, “but go on.”

He set his coffee mug down and crossed his arms over his chest. “I want to talk about it now, so Montana doesn’t overhear.” I nodded, setting my own coffee down, too. If it was a discussion not meant for Montana’s ears, then it was something serious.

“Alright, you’ve got my attention,” I told him, leaning an elbow on the bar and resting back on it.

He sighed and straightened his posture a bit. “We need to decide who’s going to propose to Montana and marry her when the right time comes to do that.”

Fuck.

I ran a hand over my face before dropping it to my lap. “We could both propose,” I suggested.

Blaze arched a brow at me. “Alright, so she wears a ring from both of us.” I nodded, letting him know he’d understood what I meant. “But who gets to be on that marriage certificate with her, Jonah?”

I inclined my head to him. “You.” His other brow shot up in surprise. “Blaze, I already have a baby with her. It’s your turn to get something with her.”

He cocked his head to the side the slightest bit as he regarded me. I stayed quiet, letting him gather his thoughts. I wasn’t bothered by it. I knew we were both going to be with her until death did us part, and we could have our own ceremony with John as our witness to give ourselves to her, but legally, I wanted him to be married to her.

“And if she decides to not keep this baby, Jonah? What then?”

I shrugged, picking up my coffee mug again. “Regardless if she gives this baby up for adoption or keeps it, Blaze, I’ve still got that connection with her. I’ll always have that with her, no matter what. And you and I both know that there won’t be any other kids after this one.”

He nodded, confirming my thoughts. I knew Montana had the potential to be an amazing mom, but it was clear that kids sent her spiraling. She was getting better, but she still liked to pretend this baby wasn’t coming sooner rather than later.

“You’re sure about this decision, Jonah?” Blaze asked me.

I nodded. “I want you to marry her, Blaze.”

“Even with what I’ve done to her in the past?” he asked, referring to her thigh.
