This isn’t about me at all. It’s about Jafar.

And that’s why I release the headboard and wrap myself around him. “I love you. I’m yours, Daddy. Just yours.”

He finally buries his face in my neck and goes still. For half a second, I think he’s orgasmed, but he slowly starts moving again. “I’m not taking care of you,” he murmurs against my skin.

“I like everything you do to me. Even when I hate it.”

His laugh makes me moan. Finally Jafar props himself up on his elbows and looks down at me. “I’ll never admit to insecurity. But if I were a man who’d admit as much, it’s possible that Abel Paine made me feel it… and jealous.”

I nod solemnly. “I’m shocked to learn that you’re actually human. Very, very shocked.”

“Brat.”

“Yes.” I wiggle a little. “I suppose you should do something about that.”

His expression goes downright forbidding. “I suppose I should.” He pulls out of me and then he’s hauling me up and over his lap and delivering a stinging slap to my ass. “Bad girls get spanked. Isn’t that right, baby girl?”

“Yes, Daddy! I’m sorry, Daddy!” I apologize even as I arch back to take the next strike.

This is perfection. This is exactly what I need, what we both need. This is us.

When Jafar finally stops spanking me, my ass is on fire and I’m practically begging for his cock again. This time, when he drives into me, he’s holding me just as close as I’m holding him. He’s here with me, not driving away the fear of me leaving him.

When we finally exhaust ourselves, he changes the bedding and tucks us in together. I snuggle up against his chest and hook my leg over his hips. “Jafar, I have a question.”

“Mmmm?” He sifts his fingers through my hair.

I lift myself up enough to see his face. “Will you marry me?”

He goes stock still. “Don’t toy with me, Jasmine.”

“I mean it.” I let him see the truth on my face. This isn’t a joke, isn’t a bratting thing. It’s earnest. “It’s been over a year. I… I thought I wanted to wait, but you’re right. There’s always going to be some new challenge, someone looking to capitalize on my position. There’s no reason to wait. I love you. I want you to be my husband.”

Jafar shifts to the side and pulls open the nightstand. He lifts out a square black box. “You know, I had intended to plan something special when you finally said you were ready.”

“Sorry?”

“I’m not.” He opens the box and reveals a ring with a massive ruby framed by diamonds. “It made me think of you.”

“It’s perfect,” I breathe.

He slides it onto my finger and, of course, it fits just as perfectly. Jafar rolls me onto my back and kisses me. “Jasmine. Baby girl. Wife.” Another kiss. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.” I dig my hands into his hair and tow him back to my mouth. “Forever, Jafar.”

“Forever.”

Going Public, Part 1

Meg

“People don’t celebrate one month anniversaries.”

Hades gives me a look that statement no doubt deserves. “You’re arguing just for the sake of arguing, love.”

He’s not wrong. The last four weeks with Hades and Hercules have been a whirlwind of bliss. Even as a rational part of my mind tries to convince me that we’re simply in the honeymoon stage, that reality will filter in at some point, it never quite gains traction. I’m too damn happy to poke holes in our relationship. It’s almost a relief to realize it. I don’t have to pick things apart. Challenges will arise, but we’ll deal with them just like we dealt with the hurdles at the beginning.

I shiver as Hercules runs his fingers through my hair and presses them against my temples, massaging gently. I’m sitting between his thighs on the bed as we watch Hades get dressed. He has a meeting this morning with Isabelle Belmonte, the youngest daughter of the Man in Black. I’m very curious to hear what’s brought her here. She and her sisters never visit the Underworld, but that doesn’t stop the rumor mill from churning, especially when this is the woman who led both Beast and Gaeton around by their cocks before dumping them and escalating their rivalry into true enmity.

Or that’s how the story goes. Only those three know the full truth.

Those three and perhaps Hades.

Hercules moves to the tense spots at the base of my skull and I can’t hold back a little moan. He chuckles. “Let us have our fun, Meg.”

As if I would tell them no. Not about something like this, a small celebration of how right things are finally going for us. More, it’s an official statement of our relationship to the rest of Carver City. Everyone knows we’re together. Tonight will inform them that we are permanent.
