“If you think that, then you’re unaware of my Orgasmic-tron 5000. It doesn’t quit until the batteries die.”

“You have one of those, too?” Mel asked, also wrapping a thick towel around herself. “Oh my God, yes! Girl, it gives me the ultimate orgasms.”

Finn scowled. “Not better than the ones I give you.”

“Five thousand times better,” Mel said, playing along since the Orgasmic-tron 5000 didn’t exist.

“Whatever. It might give you great orgasms, but it can’t love you the way I do.”

“True, and you do give good cuddles,” Mel confessed. She placed a finger to her lips. “But then, Minx and Jinx love me unconditionally and give great cuddles.”

“Damn. Easily replaced by a monster vibrator and two dogs.”

“For fuck’s sake, that didn’t sound right,” Rez said.

“Yeah. Should I reword it?”

“Nah, too late. Just let it go,” Rez advised his BAMC brother. “Okay, let’s go get dressed so we can go home. I can’t wait to feel inadequate!”

Sapphire turned her head away to hide her laugh. “Well, now you have something to strive for.”

“I already have everything I want,” he stated as they all headed inside.

“Everything?”

“Well, the most important thing.”

“What’s that?”

He stopped just inside and turned, blocking her path. “You.”

She raised an eyebrow. “I’m everything you ever wanted?”

“You better say yes, dumbass!” Finn yelled from farther inside the house. “Especially if you want help getting rid of that hard-on.”

“Yes,” Rez answered. “My life is now complete with you in it.”

She laughed again.

“Why are you laughing? I’m being serious!”

“You’re putting it on a little thick, aren’t you?”

As she began to push past him, he stopped her by grabbing her arm and spinning her to face him. He dropped his chin and his voice so Finn and Mel wouldn’t overhear him. “You think I’m joking, Sapphire, but I’m not. I can’t imagine my life without you. I don’t know how I survived before you entered it.”

“Rez,” she whispered, an unfamiliar burn in her eyes.

“It’s true. I hope it’s the same for you.”

She reached up and cupped his bearded cheek. “I…”

His eyebrows rose as he waited.

“Tolerate you,” she finished, then patted his cheek.

His mouth dropped open and a breath rushed from him.

“But I do appreciate your dick,” she added quickly.

“That makes me feel so much fucking better.”

She let the smile she was fighting cross her face. “I’m messing with you. I know we’re not like other couples because by now, at this point in our relationship, most would’ve already declared their love for each other.”

“I only want you to say it if it’s true.”

“Okay.”

He waited.

She waited.

His Adam’s apple rose and fell hard. “Is it true?” he finally asked. “Wait. I don’t want you to tell me here in Pippi Longstocking’s house. I mean, if you’re going to tell me.”

“Where do you want me to tell you?”

“While you’re riding my cock?”

“That’s as good a place as any, I guess.”

Rez grinned. “Glad you agree.”

“Now… Can we go home so I can ride your cock and I can tell you how much I love you?”

“Damn it, Sapphire!”

She swore she laughed all the way home.

And of course, she told him again later when she was riding him hard and fast.

But not until after he whispered how much he loved her first.

It was the best thing she ever heard in her life.

At least until she heard the first cry of their newborn daughter two years later.

Epilogue

A year later…

Rez scanned the packed club. He never thought his investment would pay off as quickly as it did. But Mel and Sapphire as a team were a dynamic duo.

The Pink Pearl was now raking in money hand over fist. One reason was, they only hired top-notch dancers, most of them originals from The Peach Pit when Mel managed that now dying club. Another reason was offering plenty of other adult entertainment.

Monday nights were set aside as specialty nights. Whether it was a stand-up comedian, an all-male revue like the Peckers, a local band or whatever. Any ticketed events always sold out.

As soon as Mel and Finn closed on the old building, they immediately began working on turning it into a high-class gentleman’s club with the help of Rez’s investment.

As well as Crew’s.

The task force leader and fellow BAMC member jumped on the chance to own a part of the most successful “entertainment” club on the western side of Pennsylvania.

Sapphire taught pole dancing twice a week in the early mornings for anyone wanting to get or stay in shape.

Rez tried it once.

He was never doing that again.

He almost strained his groin and that could’ve been a tragedy.

He now appreciated the athletic ability that went into being a stripper. Anyone could take off their clothes. Not many could work a pole and make it look easy.

The air moved around him right before a husky voice filled his ear. “Hi, handsome, are you lonely? You look like you need company to take your mind off things.”
