Coughing as the delicate treat caught in her throat when she tried to swallow too fast, Sue grabbed her glass and gulped down the water as Davis patted her on the back. “Sorry!” she gasped when she could talk again.

Davis reached for the back of her chair and pulled her close. His hand rubbed up and down her spine, making Sue shiver with delight. “Did I surprise you?”

“Yes. I figured I misunderstood.”

“You didn’t. Let me make you dinner tonight.”

“Instead of working out?” she asked.

“After,” he answered with a slow smile that did something to her insides.

“You mean like at your house?” she asked, still processing his suggestion.

“That’s where I usually do my cooking,” he teased before taking her hand and bringing her fingers to his lips. He drew the tip of her pointer into his mouth and licked off the dollop of frosting before continuing. “I promise I’m only suggesting dinner, Sue. We don’t know each other well enough for more than that, but if coming to my house makes you nervous, I’ll understand. We can go out instead.”

She struggled to internalize his words because she was busy staring at the finger he still held. The one he’d just sucked, sending tingles of excitement through her entire body.

Davis used his other hand to lift her chin and looked in her eyes. “I thought we could get to know each other better. It’s easier to talk alone than a crowded restaurant.”

She nodded.

Davis leaned in closer so only she could hear him, his thumb stroking her knuckles. “I know I’m being very forward and this is fast, but I felt a connection with you the first moment I saw you. I’m sure you’ve gathered that I’m a Daddy. Am I misreading that you’re a Little, Sue?”

She slowly shook her head. It was weird admitting such a thing. She’d never really spoken to anyone about it out loud. She had only recently realized she was Little. She hadn’t even known anything about age play until she started working at Little Cakes and met Ellie and all her friends and employees.

Could this be for real? Davis was the sexiest silver fox she’d ever seen. Could he really be her Daddy? The thought made her heart race and scared her at the same time.

He didn’t know her well. What if he got to know her better and then didn’t like her and changed his mind? She would be heartbroken. On the other hand, she really liked him and he seemed so nice and genuine. She wouldn’t waste the chance.

Sitting taller, she decided to be brave. “I’d love to have dinner at your house, Davis.”

He smiled broadly and then kissed her fingers before releasing them. “You sure know how to make a Daddy sweat.” He picked up the last bite of his cupcake and popped it in his mouth. “These are truly delicious. My favorite.”

“You haven’t even tried any other flavor,” she pointed out.

“Don’t need to. From now on, I’m only eating Black Forest.”

Sue couldn’t swallow any more of hers. She was trembling from their conversation and shocked. She couldn’t believe Davis had actually come into Little Cakes, shared a table with her, and asked her on a date.

Davis lifted the cherry off the top of her frosting and held it up to her lips. “I used to be able to tie a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue. If you eat the cherry, I’ll see if I can still do it.”

She giggled as she leaned forward to snap the cherry off the stem with her teeth, moaning around the flavor. Apparently, she could eat another bite, but only because Davis had a way of making her relax.

“I guess you like cherries,” he pointed out as he pulled the stem into his mouth.

“I love them.” She watched his jaw and cheeks as he maneuvered the stem around. It only took him a minute before he parted his lips to reveal a perfectly tied stem between his teeth.

She laughed. “I don’t know how anyone does that.”

“Tongue dexterity, I guess,” he said with a wink.

Her cheeks heated. Holy cow. Had he just made a sexual comment about what he could do with his tongue? She squirmed in her seat as she squeezed her thighs together. It had been ages since she’d felt turned on by anyone. So long she’d forgotten it was even possible. Her body seemed to remember though.

Davis pushed his chair back. “I have to get back to the gym. What time do you get off?”

“Four.”

“Then I’ll see you at the gym a few minutes after four?”

“Yes.”

He lifted her fingers and kissed them again. “Until then, my Little Cherry.”

As Davis walked out the front door, Sue was frozen in her spot, staring at his retreating figure.

“Hey, Tarson?” Riley shouted from the cash register, jerking Sue’s attention back to the shop. There were no customers at the moment. Thank God.
