I opened my mouth in shock.

“Give him all the venom you can muster. It may not put him down, but it will weaken him enough for me to get the information. . .and kill him, if necessary.”

“You really would?”

“He has lived a long life. I shed no tears for him.” Azar looked at me. “Still. . .let’s hope it doesn’t come to killing him, because if we can’t, then he will trap us in the mirror with those other spirits. And you would never want that.”

“You said that they were nastier.”

“No limits. They did nasty sexual things to animals, very young children, infants, dead bodies—”

“That’s enough.” I hugged myself. “I don’t want to know anymore.”

“And you do not want to be trapped with them. They will cut your thigh open, just to stick their dicks inside of it.”

My stomach twisted in disgust.

Ahead of us, the door opened.

Ferkos walked through the door and he no longer had on the leather vest, kilt, and boots that he had been wearing moments before. Instead, his clothing had changed to match the fantastical beach that he was now standing on.

Now, Ferkos wore a white, billowing shirt that was open at the chest with light-blue woven pants that hung low on his hips. The shirt was so sheer that I could see his muscles and the light-brown hairs on his chest.

Did he have hair on his chest before?

I squinted and stared at his nipples as he came closer. There was a silver hoop earring in each one.

His long black hair was now a mass of curly, wild waves that hung down to his shoulders. His eyes were a deep, dark brown, almost black. His skin was now the color of caramel, and it glistened in the sun.

And I had to admit that he was the second most beautiful creature I had ever seen, after Azar.

He prowled our way and stopped right next to me. “Why did you two whisper?”

Azar spoke, “Because you were watching and listening.”

“I was curious.”

“And suspicious.”

Ferkos moved his view to Azar. “Shouldn’t I be.”

“I apologized for taking your dick off.”

“Still. . .” Ferkos turned to me. “Your presence, fairy, it makes me uneasy. Why?”

Azar’s voice rose. “Have you decided to let me siphon lust from you?”

“I am talking to your sex slave, Azar.”

I swallowed. “Why. . ?”

Ferkos leaned his head to the side. “Interesting. You have a question for me.”

“Why did Azar take away your dick?”

Ferkos grinned. “His little half demon, human child had died, and he was at the end of the Earth crying like a baby.”

A deep, guttural growl left Azar and vibrated through me. The turquoise ocean turned inky black. The powdery white sand shifted to thick, oozing mud and began drowning the starfish and shells.

Ferkos sighed.

Azar growled some more.

I scanned the further changes.

The constant waves foamed red with blood and the salty air filled with the stench of death and decay. The sun was now blotted out by dark clouds, and a storm began to brew.

“Can you control your mood, Azar? You are messing with my breathtaking landscape.” Ferkos snapped his fingers.

The turquoise water and white sand returned. The sun and fresh scent of salty air too. And the brewing, oncoming storm was no more.

“So strong to change my own illusion within my ruin-carved domain.” Ferkos scowled. “And you want to siphon my magic?”

I cleared my throat.

They both looked my way.

“That still doesn’t answer my question.” I blinked. “Why did he tear your dick off?”

“I told him to stop crying over a weak pathetic being—”

Thunder boomed. Lightning struck the ocean. Yet no other aspect of the illusion changed.

Ferkos glared at Azar. “I believe we should not walk down memory lane anymore.”

Azar scowled. “You want to see her cum? You want to taste her essence?”

Ferkos eyes went wild. “You will let me taste?”

“If you would let me siphon.”

“And the Boto brothers’ location. What is that about?”

“That is my concern.”

“I am still curious. They are some of my top customers.”

Azar drew a swirl in the empty space before him. Slowly the leather straps of my dress began to move, twist, and slip away. My skin tingled from their movement.

They were gentle caresses as they unwound themselves from my body slowly revealing more and more bare skin. The sensation was electric, like a million tiny needles dancing across my skin. The straps slithered down my body, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake. The salty beach air was cool on my exposed flesh, and I had to fight the urge to cover myself up. The dress fell onto the sand, creating a pile of black leather, and I was left on the table, naked and vulnerable.

Ferkos turned back to me. His eyes glowed a silvery white.

My nipples stiffened from his attention.

Nervous and embarrassed, I kept my focus on Azar. And my haunting demon stared at me like he had never seen me naked before. It made me feel even more exposed and vulnerable, but I didn’t look away.
