“I know what you mean, the man has been single since, forever. He hasn’t had serious relationships, he likes to shop around and I think the idea of settling is something that scares the hell out of him. I’m curious as to why? I wonder what happened in his life to make him think that?”

Eve shrugs. “I’m not sure. Either way, if he has made his mind up then he doesn’t get to decide if you can be with Remy or not. If I were you, honey, I’d be taking that chance. Remy is awesome and he’s so good looking. You deserve to jump on that horse, even if it pisses off the entire herd.”

I laugh. “I love the way you think.”

She grins. “Yes, me too.”

We swim for a little longer, and then I find myself wandering off toward the sheer cliffs on the island. God, the view up there would be spectacular. I have no doubt about it. I vow to myself that I am going to go ahead and check them out tomorrow. For now, I just want to see how high they really are.

At the bottom there are a heap of rock pools where the ocean water trickles in. They’re lovely, and I collect shells and enjoying some peace and quiet to myself before heading back to join the group. They’re just setting up a campfire for the evening, Riggs has bought a bunch of food for us all, so we’re going to chill out and enjoy the night.

Adan and Lorelei are already sitting by the fire, she’s right next to him, whispering something into his ear.

Well.

This should be fun.

“Never have I ever,” Eve says to Riggs with a grin, “slept with my friend’s ex.”

Riggs stares at her and keeps his beer in his lap.

“Oh bullshit!” I laugh. “You men go through women like they’re going out of fashion, surely you’ve slept with the same woman.”

Riggs shakes his head. “Nope, never. We don’t touch what belongs to someone else. Past or present.”

Eve huffs. “Well dammit. It’s my turn then, go on.”

Riggs grins, rubbing his hands together. “Never have I ever slept with someone of the same sex.”

Eve rolls her eyes. “No, I have not. I’m not drinking. Next.”

Riggs chuckles, because he knew the answer to that one already and he also knew that if he asked it, Eve wouldn’t have to drink more as she is already quite drunk. Clever man. Taking care of her behind the scenes.

“You get to choose who goes next,” Lorelei says, laughing.

“Fine,” Eve says, looking around the group. “Adan and Ramona.”

I stare at her with evil eyes, and she simply grins.

Evil genius.

“You go first,” I say to Adan, sipping my drink already because god knows I need it.

He stares at me for a minute, thinking, then he asks, “Never have I ever faked an orgasm.”

I roll my eyes and take a long skull of my drink.

“I mean come on, Adan,” I say after I’m done, “who hasn’t faked an orgasm?”

He grins at me.

My heart does some funny little flip.

“Go again,” Eve laughs.

Adan thinks on it. “Never have I ever laughed so hard I farted.”

I burst out laughing.

“I’m not answering that,” I giggle.

“You have to,” Remy chuckles. “It’s the rules.”

“Ugh,” I mutter and take a drink.

Everyone loses it laughing.

“Come on, come on. Just ask me a question I haven’t done so we can move on.” I roll my eyes with a grin.

Adan’s eyes lock onto mine. “Never have I ever fucked in the rain.”

Dammit.

I haven’t.

I haven’t fucked in the rain.

Not out in the beautiful wild, with rain falling over my skin.

I don’t drink, but my cheeks heat up at the very thought.

“Oh, shit, I think you got a reaction.” Hugh laughs. “Girl is red as a beetroot.”

“Eat a dick, Hugh,” I say, pushing my bottom lip out.

“I bet you’d like to, though, wouldn’t you?” Remy grins at me. “Good fuck in the rain?”

“Are you offering?” I throw back.

He grins bigger. “You know I wish I was.”

“Let’s get on with it,” Adan says, his voice cutting through the sexual tension on the beach.

“Fine,” I say. “My turn. Never have I ever taken it up the ass.”

Everyone bursts out laughing.

Adan grunts and doesn’t drink. “I’m not that way inclined.”

“I doubt that, brother.” Beckett chuckles. “I bet you’d like to give it a try.”

“Fuck up, Beck.”

I laugh. “Fine, next question. Never have I ever been in love.”

Everyone goes silent.

It’s a sneaky move, I’m not going to lie, but it’s a question I am curious to see his answer on. He stares at me because he knows damn well what I’m doing. I’m seeing if there has been someone in his past that he’s loved, someone that has broken him and made him the way he is now. I’m certain there has to be.

He doesn’t move for a moment, and I’m starting to think that he possibly hasn’t been in love, but then he lifts his beer to his mouth and drinks it.
