We rolled into the Bones compound and Suzie rushed out to greet us.
“Cliff!” When I got out of the truck, Suzie threw herself into my arms. “I’m so glad you and Dawn are OK. I was terrified when you couldn’t find her!” She quickly moved on to Dawn, giving my woman a beautiful, welcoming smile. “I’m so glad Ice found you, Dawn. You’ll be my sister now.”
“I’ll be proud to be your sister, Suzie. I heard what you did. Has Giovanni started bitching yet?”
Suzie giggled. “If he has, he’s not bitched to me. I think he’s kind of resigned himself. He’ll never be able to keep me out!”
Everyone in the club who hadn’t come to Palm Beach welcomed me and Dawn back. The club girls kept to themselves, knowing this was a family night. I wasn’t worried about them, though. After seeing the way Dawn fought off her nightmare, I had no doubt she could handle herself with a few overly aggressive club girls.
“Ice?” Dawn wrapped her arms around my waist as she looked up at me.
“Yeah, honey.” I smiled down at her and brushed a lock of hair off her forehead and tucked it behind her ear.

“They’ve decided the easiest thing to do is to take over Kiss of Death. It was same as decimated, but they’ve found a few good men to help them take it over.” He shrugged. “Shouldn’t be hard. The whole place has been in chaos since we took down the club hierarchy. They took over The Dark in Nashville. Bane burned down the one in Palm Beach, but they had another one in Nashville that was just as bad. That’s where Torpedo says he’ll start. Having a BDSM club in town is great, but he’s making it into a safe place for people in that lifestyle to play. Also, it’ll be a good place to launder money if we need to.”
“Good. Tell them if they need anything, they’re welcome to whatever resources I can send their way.”
“I’ll pass it on. How’s your lovely woman?”
I couldn’t help but smile. “She’s perfect. Gave her my property patch and I don’t think she’s taken it off voluntarily even once. I have to make her take it off when we go to bed.” I chuckled. “Never thought I’d have a woman so proud to be with me.”
Cain chuckled. “She’s a fine old lady, Ice. You keep her happy.”
“No worries there. I’ll move heaven and earth if I have to.”
Dawn chose that moment to pop her head in my office. “Hi, Cain.” She gave my dad a little wave. “Can I borrow Ice for a little bit?”
“Absolutely, you can.” Cain stood and gave Dawn a hug. “You take care of him, young lady. He needs looking after.”
“I promise. I love him.”
“He loves you too.” He cleared his throat before throwing up a hand at me. “Call your mother.” That was his way of telling me he wanted to hear from me too.
“Every Sunday and Wednesday, Dad.”
Cain grunted and headed out of my office. I turned my attention to Dawn.
“Now. What is so important you had to interrupt my meeting with Cain. Hmm?”
She gave me a brilliant smile. “I’m horny.”
I couldn’t help it. I belly laughed, swinging Dawn up into my arms and heading for our rooms on the third floor of the massive clubhouse building.
“We’ll have to see what we can do about that.”
“See that you do. It’s a very serious condition.”
“I have no doubt.”
