“Not until three.”

“So you can spend the day with me until then?”

She nodded.

“Excellent.” He patted her bottom. “Go use the bathroom and brush your teeth while I start breakfast.”

“I don’t have anything to wear, Daddy.”

“You don’t need anything. I like seeing you in my T-shirt.” He wiggled his brows.

“Okay, Daddy.” She watched as he released her and rolled off his side of the huge bed. She got a good look at his thick length because he did nothing to hide it, and then she held her breath as she was graced with his fantastic ass as he turned to walk into the bathroom.

Again, how did she get so lucky?

She pinched her arm to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. “Ouch,” she murmured before sliding off her side of the bed.

Chapter Six

Garrett couldn’t stop smiling as he whipped the eggs while the bacon sizzled in the pan. He’d never been more sure of anything in his life. The sweet Little girl singing softly to herself—probably without realizing it—as she entered the kitchen was his.

He glanced at her as she came to him. She’d combed her hair and put it in a high ponytail. He liked it better in two pigtails like she’d worn it at Blaze, but he wouldn’t say anything this morning. He didn’t want to throw too many things at her at once and risk chasing her away.

After pouring the eggs into a pan, he turned around and lifted her off her feet to set her on one of the stools at the island.

She squealed, her voice making his already stiff cock harder. The dimples on her cheeks were adorable, too. “Daddy, I could have climbed up myself,” she admonished as she lifted first one butt cheek then the other to tug his shirt under her bottom.

“I know you could have, but I like doing things for you.”

She set one elbow on the island and leaned her chin on her palm. “I like when you do things for me, too.” She grinned.

“Orange juice?” he asked.

“Yes, Sir.”

He poured her a cup and popped a sippy lid on it before setting it in front of her.

“Why do you have so much stuff for a Little girl, Daddy? Did you have another Little girl living here?”

“Nope. You’re the first. But I knew I wanted a special Little girl, so I’ve been preparing for one for a long time.”

“And you think I could be her?” Her eyes were wide and hopeful. Thank God.

“I know you’re her.” He bopped her nose with his finger and turned to stir the eggs and flip the bacon. “Sometimes a Daddy just knows.”

“When did you know?”

“When I first walked into your shop and found you singing about frosting, powdered sugar and flour all over your cute body.” He turned his head toward her and winked. “You stole my heart that very moment.”

Her cheeks flushed adorably. “I was a mess.”

“You were a cute mess.” He dished up two plates of food and set one in front of her.

“I haven’t eaten breakfast in forever. I never have time. I’m always running late.”

“Little girl, everyone needs a good breakfast to start the day. Seems like you keep a pretty crazy schedule staying up late and struggling to get out of bed in the morning.” He lifted a brow in question as he took a seat next to her, his own plate piled higher with food.

She finished chewing her bite, swallowed, and shrugged. “I used to keep more regular hours when I was living with my grandmother, but since then, I’ve gotten lazy.”

“Sounds like you need a Daddy to help you get on a healthier schedule.”

She scrunched up her nose. “That’s no fun.”

He chuckled. “I bet if you went to bed at a decent hour, you could get up earlier and get your work done during the day so you could sleep at night.”

She pushed out her bottom lip in an adorable pout that he was realizing could easily cause her to get wrapped around his finger if he wasn’t careful.

He leaned in and took her chin. “If you agree to be my Little girl, I’ll have strict rules about bedtimes and meals. You can’t go to work on an empty stomach and eat cupcakes all day, Ellie.”

She sighed.

He pointed at her plate. “Finish eating. Then you can go explore the nursery. How does that sound?”

She sat up straighter, smiling. “I can’t wait.” She took her next two bites too close together, stuffing the second one in before swallowing the first.

He grabbed her wrist. “Slow down, Little girl. You’ll choke. The toys aren’t going anywhere.”

“Yes, Sir.” Her shoulders dropped as she forced herself to eat slower, but it was hard to keep from chuckling as he watched her struggle.

“Finish your juice.” He pointed at her cup and smiled for the millionth time as she lifted it with both hands and tipped it back to suck the juice through the special lid. She was precious and every moment he was more certain he couldn’t live without her.
