“Faster . . . please . . .”

“Not yet, sweetheart.”

She was quivering as I continued working her over at my leisurely pace. I felt her get close and pulled my fingers out. I watched in fascination as her pussy convulsed, squeezing down on nothing. She hissed my name and I chuckled, starting up again.

This time, I decided to let her come.

I worked my fingers faster, rubbing my other finger over her clit rapidly.

“All right, baby girl. Come for Daddy.”

She did. Her whole body arched off the bed. Her legs shook and shimmied. I held her tight, burying my face in her spasming pussy. I kept licking and sucking her clit until the last shudders faded. When I crawled up the bed to pull her into my arms, she looked stunned.

“Oh, my God.”

I squeezed her, pleased with the awestruck look on her beautiful face.

“You liked that?”

She blinked at me, already well on her way to passing out.

“Liked?”

I kissed her again.

“I need to . . . take care of you.”

“Another time, sweetheart.”

She reached down and cupped my balls. It felt so fucking good to have her touch me. But it didn’t matter. Rules were rules. I was not going to get off tonight.

“But Cain . . .”

“Hush, now. Go to sleep.”

She sighed and closed her eyes. I winced in frustrated pleasure. Her hand was still cupping me but perfectly still. A soft snore made me laugh, even though my nuts were ready to burst. I settled into the bed, tucking an extra pillow under my head. I was afraid to move other than that.

“Sleep well, angel.”

I closed my eyes, though I doubted I would be getting much sleep. That had to be a first. My girl was one in a million, that was for sure.

Kelly had fallen asleep holding my balls.

Chapter Twenty-Five

Kelly

“Hmm . . .”

I stretched luxuriously, feeling well-rested for the first time in days. My body felt heavy and satisfied, and a little sore. Kind of like I’d worked out the day before, not that I was all that familiar with that sensation. I was not exactly a gym bunny, though I did tend to bounce off the walls. Mom said I burned more calories just breathing that most people did lifting weights.

Mom. Connor. Cain.

I opened my eyes as reality set in. I was at Connor’s house. Mom was in Texas. There was a killer on the lose. Cain had spent the night. The wicked memories of last night came flooding back in.

“Good morning, sweetheart.”

I smiled at the handsome man who was watching me, his head propped up on his hand. I blushed a bit, remembering how much time he’d spent between my thighs last night. Then I realized something else.

“I never took care of you!”

“That’s all right, angel. I have a feeling your brother would have started banging on the door.”

I giggled, snuggling against his chest. It was easier than looking him the eye. I’d been out of control the night before! My cheeks were hot with embarrassment as I nuzzled him.

The man smells way too good!

“I could get used to this.”

He squeezed me.

“You will get used to this. Soon.”

I blinked up at him, confused.

“Soon? I don’t think so. My mama might like you, but she draws the line at gentleman callers spending the night.”

“I need you under my roof.”

“Oh. That’s going to take some time, Cain. Are you sure that’s what you want?”

“It’s what I want, but I’m not going to wait.” He squeezed me again. “And using my last name. I want my legal rights.”

I stared at his back as he climbed off the foot of the bed.

“Legal rights? What does that even mean?”

He just smirked at me.

“My rights to you.”

Marriage again? Really? Could he make it sound any less romantic?

I sighed. My man was really impatient. He wanted things yesterday. But love and marriage didn’t work that way, did they?

To be honest, I couldn’t tell how serious he was. I doubted anything would come of it, at least not anytime soon. Still, maybe I wasn’t being fair. Cain wasn’t much for talking, but his actions showed me how much he cared for and respected me.

And my mama always said that actions speak louder than words.

Maybe he did want to marry me. But he was going to have to wait. We just started dating, for crying out loud!

Still, it would be nice to hear the ‘L’ word. I knew without a doubt that I was falling in love with Cain, if I wasn’t already there. I felt giddy and emotional all the time, and he was never far from my thoughts.

Him and that insanely sexy body of his.

I sighed and got up, dressing in jeans and a floral T-shirt. I made an extremely cursory attempt at hygiene by brushing my teeth and running a brush through my hair. I wondered briefly if I smelled like sex (even though we hadn’t actually had sex) but I was too hungry to shower. I rubbed a little essential oil onto my pulse points and slid a tube of tinted lip balm over my lips. It wasn’t exactly an over-the-top sexy look, but I looked cute enough.
