The fact that Leo had just proposed to a woman pulled at Zolt’s balls whenever he thought back to the way he’d yielded to Zolt’s lips. They’d have already fucked if Joe hadn’t arrived, but that sexy ass wasn’t going anywhere. It was three in the morning, and Zolt was more awake than he should’ve been, but how could he think of sleep when there was still time left to work his way on top of Leo.

“What’s wrong with whisky?” Zolt said, and put the cleaning supplies into the closet. He’d have time to deal with the rest once Leo was gone to work out his not-so-gay feelings. By the time he was back for more, Zolt’s shop would be in order.

“I’m just not in the mood for it after all this, but I’ll take what you’ve got.” Leo passed Zolt, heading to the apartment.

Zolt did have beer, but liquor might enable Leo to go with the flow. Vodka would be perfect. “Yeah, I have you covered,” he said, stalking after him, his gaze trailing along the lines of muscle, all the way down the toned legs. Leo was way more attractive than he believed himself to be, and that made him the perfect prey. Straight guys rarely got compliments from random women, but Zolt was there to fill that gap.

Leo sat his ass down on the leather sofa and put his clothes on the armchair nearby. He looked up with dark blue eyes, and Zolt couldn’t comprehend why Leo didn’t consider himself a ‘better Heller’. Sure, Zolt would’ve fucked his brother Mike in a heartbeat, but that hardly meant there was anything wrong with Leo. They were different. Where Mike was a player, always bragging about his sexcapades, Leo kept to the shadows. Which was a shame because he deserved the spotlight. He had strong features, with sharp cheekbones, a big nose, and his lips, while narrow, suited his face. His smiles were cute and honest, his teeth big and white. And those bold dark eyebrows? They gave his face definition.

Leo was a stunning man, and he belonged on Zolt’s leather sofa, with a huge glass of vodka in hand.

“Here you go,” Zolt said and rested alongside him. He allowed some distance for now, to let Leo have peace after all the scrubbing, but he did remember to rest his arms on top of the back of the sofa and didn’t miss the way Leo’s gaze rubbed his pecs.

That’s it, straight boy, look at all this meat on offer.

“Thanks. My dad thinks I’m out in Reno, partying with strippers. The irony.” Leo shook his head and pointed to his barely-clad body.

Zolt laughed and had a sip of whisky from his own glass. “I am definitely enjoying myself right now. Didn’t know you have so many tattoos,” he added when Leo stiffened. There wasn’t enough alcohol in his system yet.

Leo took a big gulp and let the vodka twist his features. “I don’t like to show off. Sadly, the ones I actually dislike are always visible.”

Zolt snorted and pointed to Leo’s knuckles with raised eyebrows. He had RACE ME!! inked across both fists.

Leo shook his head. “Yeah, they’re not even symmetrical. I added the exclamation marks just to even it out. Lesson learned. Don’t get ink on a dare.”

Zolt hummed, watching him from above the glass as the bitter liquor bit into his tongue, sending warmth all over. “Depends on the dare.”

“Your tats look well put together. They’ve got a theme and all that.” Leo pulled up one of his legs to rest his foot on the edge of the seat, and Zolt had to force himself not to stare at the package in Leo’s briefs.

“And you don’t look shocked about what happened earlier,” Zolt said, because if he didn’t change the topic, he might say that he would have gotten a tattoo on a dare if it landed him on top of Leo. A grown man needed to have priorities, and he’d curated his ink for long enough. Getting Mickey Mouse on his ass was out of the question.

Leo took an even bigger gulp of vodka this time. “I’ve seen my first dead body at nineteen. I was prospecting for the club, and they called me over to help deal with it. I still remember the stench. It was in the height of summer, in the middle of the desert, and a buzzard was picking on the guy’s stomach. I won’t lie, I threw up.”

Zolt smirked. “I’ve been close when I saw mine, but it hadn’t been nearly as gory. I was staying at this drug den and woke up to a woman staring at me. I had felt her lie down close by, but she died overnight.”

A cold sensation trailed down his back, and for the glimpse of an eye, it seemed that she was back and dragged her icy fingers down his flesh. But he wasn’t sentimental, and the past held no meaning in his life.
