Whoa.

He blinked and quickly righted himself.

Tad tamped down a laugh. “Sure you don’t want me to come with you? He’s pretty big and you’re pretty wasted.”

“Please,” Breck scoffed. “I can take him. Hell, I have taken him.”

Tad eyed him. “Have you now.”

Shit. Maybe he shouldn’t have said that out loud.

Stupid fucking alcohol, messing with his stupid fucking brain.

Whatever.

“Yeah. I have.” Thanks to one of Tad’s moves. He shuffled into the flow of traffic. “I’ll be right back.”

A minute later, he was shoving into the men’s room.

He scanned the place.

No Kai. Not at the sinks nor at the urinals.

So, where was he? Breck hadn’t passed him in the hallway. He had to be there.

One of the far stalls abruptly opened.

Scott emerged, but not alone. Kai was right behind him. And, holy shit, the guy was zipping up his pants.

What. The. Fuck?

“Breck.” Kai pulled to a stop and eyed him. Something flickered in his eyes. “What a nice surprise.”

Breck just stood there, completely taken off guard. This was definitely not a visual he’d been expecting, and being drunk only made it seem weirder.

Scott maneuvered around him on his way out. “S’up, Breck.” His expression looked sheepish.

Breck shot him a perplexed frown and nodded. “S’up.”

Scott didn’t stick around, though, and quickly took his leave. Music boomed as he opened the door, then fell back to muted as the thing swung closed.

Breck looked at Kai, ignoring the others milling about. Although thoroughly buzzed, he’d intended to chew the guy out. Those blowjob shooters were a total dick move. But after walking in on him and Scott in that stall, Breck was suddenly at a total loss for words. Which was lame. Who gave a shit what they were doing in there? Not him. Yet for some reason, he felt completely derailed.

Kai watched him for a moment, then finally asked, “Well? Did you come here to piss or not?”

Breck pursed his lips. “Not.”

Kai’s brows lifted. “So, what, you came to spectate?”

Breck stiffened, swaying on his feet. “No, you asshat. I came to tell you to—”

“Me?” Kai looked surprised. His midnight eyes glittered. “You came here looking for me?”

Breck bristled. “Please. Don’t flatter yourself.”

Kai chuckled humorlessly. “Don’t need to, Breck. You do it enough for both of us.”

Breck narrowed his eyes. “The fuck I do.”

Kai lifted a brow and re-popped his fly.

Immediately, Breck’s gaze dropped and locked on his crotch.

Kai tilted his head. Quietly murmured, “The fuck you do.”

Breck’s eyes shot back up.

Fuck! Stupid buzz!

Glaring, he scrambled to get back on equal footing. “Keep dreaming, dude. Keep seeing what you wanna see.”

Kai’s lips quirked. Crossing his arms, he leaned his shoulder against the open stall. “How ‘bout you, Breck? What do you wanna see?”

Breck lifted his chin. “Nothing you’ve got to offer.”

“You sure about that? Scott was pretty impressed with what I just showed him.” He tilted his head and smiled playfully. “You wanna take a look, too?”

Breck’s crotch stirred at the prospect of getting a peek down Kai’s pants. And didn’t that just piss him off all over again. His stupid dick and tripping brain were undermining his efforts.

Grunting, he took a step back. “Jesus, dude. Really? You must be piss-ass drunk.”

“No?” Kai muttered dryly. “You sure? It’s exceptionally large. Scott even called it exotic.”

Breck’s idiot junk stirred again. Scowling, he shook his head. “Man, shut up. What is wrong with you?”

“With me?” Kai chuckled. “You’re the one blushing.”

Breck drunk brain churned angrily. He needed to step the fuck up before Kai turned the tables even more. Glowering, he got up in Kai’s grill. “Look. I don’t know what your fucking game is, but you’d best stop messing with me or so help me God, I’ll—”

“You’ll what, jeja?” Kai murmured, their noses all but touching.

“Don’t call me that. I’m not your student. I quit your stupid class.”

“Right. My stupid class. To focus on school.”

Kai’s expression was shuttered, and yet Breck detected he’d hit a nerve.

A whiff of Kai’s scent wafted past his nose, triggering memories of when they used to spar. Kai never went easy on him. Never once. Always rode him hard. Until their last match, when Breck put him flat on his back. Of course, two seconds later, Kai had him pinned on his back.

“Right,” he lied, determined to stand his ground.

Kai regarded him, then cocked his head. “Perhaps my classes were just too hard.”

“Please,” Breck puffed out his chest—then absently listed sideways.

Kai steadied him with a warm, strong hand. “So you’ll be back for summer classes then. Once basketball ends.”

Breck’s heart skipped a beat. Shit. Kai had just backed him into a corner. A corner he both resented and absolutely relished the feeling of. The object of Kai’s utter and absolute attention.

Snared in a trap Kai had orchestrated because he wanted Breck back.

His brain fumbled for a reason to decline. He opened his mouth. Stalled, then closed it.
